The exemplary care from the nurses and doctors, helped my Dad and family so much. It is difficult to have a beloved family member in a hospice setting. The professional kindness of all there, made this easier. WithA special thanks to Mewa and Allison.

They were very nice

Having a family member go to a hospice, is never an easy thing, but if you're at the point where you're considering it, you should just go ahead and do it. This (pubicily funded) hospice was a huge change not only for our loved one, but also for us. The calm privacy is intimate and cozy for all involved. It allows you to spend quality time with your loved ones, in a place where you feel cared for. They have volunteers who come in and chat with those staying there, and even have freshly baked cookies for whoever would like one. Each room also has a pull out couch, a private (and accessible) washroom and shower. There's a common area with a piano, room to puzzle, and also watch one of their many dvds. Dying, and watching a loved one die, is a terrible thing, but while here, it feels more like we've all been given a bit more time to live.

If I could I would give more stars. The nurses and volunteers are absolutely amazing. They took such great care of my father in his final days and I am forever grateful for the compassion, respect and dignity they showed him and my family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Compassionate staff. Family member was only there for two weeks, but the staff truly care and went above and beyond.
