Steep Rock Beach Park

It was great. The beach is more rocks than sand but the water was clear and fairly warm ( it was about 25 degrees) but I suggest going when is closer to 30. The food was really close which was great but we got chicken burgers and the Lettuce was wilted and it was Very basic.

Overall good beach park like other beaches in Manitoba! Kids can freely swim with adult supervision as the depth of the beach goes down so gently! Staff driving three wheeler was a bit disturbing as it was carrying sand with the wind while eating food. There is a changing room too.

Steep Rock is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a hike and a picnic. It's usually cold and windy when we come here so we've never actually tried swimming in the lake. Lol

Very friendly and helpful staff. There are modern washrooms and showers but no drinking water taps. The beach is nice, the cliffs are even more beautiful. However, the beach on the side that the cliffs are on is a little run down. Abandoned shacks and an open wire on the ground

Nice campground came here like 2 times first time i got so so so so so sunburnt i was so red i almost didn't come back but im glad I did because i slept ok except for the fact there was a massive storm one night and i slept in the van in fear of my life. Good times to be had by all.

The beach itself is beautiful, but has no Services available, not even water. Highly dissappointed.Now, I get a reply from them saying I should go to their sand beach as it has all the facilities.Sorry to say, whenever I go there, I go to both the beaches. And the facilities on the sand beach were not functioning. Not even the castle. It was inflated though, with no supervision.Even the office was closed. I hope things get better in future. It was highly difficult for us as we had 3 to kids under 5 with us.

Steep Rock in general is beautiful, the cliffs are amazing, BUT we had to pay 10$ to park which is a total rip off and no information anywhere that you need to pay for parking. Total money grab.However, my review is for the campground. Washrooms are modern but that was about the only good thing. Pets are not allowed anywhere besides the road and your campsite. Campsites are wide open with constant ATV traffic which was super annoying. There was no enforcement to their rules especially for quiet time, people set off fireworks and firecrackers at midnight and partied until 1-2 am. There was nothing to do, we were supposed to stay 4 nights, left 2 days early because there was nothing to do. For the money you pay it is DEFINITELY not worth it.Parks Manitoba should take this over, they could make this place amazing and worth it

Cliffs are awesome, beach park is meh!!And you HAVE TO PAY. You can access the beach otherways if you are creative. There are accessible beaches by the cliffs, they have rocks (round edge) instead if sand but still beats paying for a natural resource locked in by local town government.

We had an excellent time! The water was clear and the temperature was not to bad. Our campsite, washrooms and the grounds were clean and well maintained. The guests and park staff were all very nice! Great biking around the campground and to the town of Steep Rock it was about a 4km ride. The playgrounds were challenging for our 5 year old she had a blast, I would recommend adult supervision. Quite a few fish flies but it is the season. Overall It is great, I would recommend this campground to friends and family!

Steep Rock Beach is one of the best Beach in Manitoba my favorite along with riding mountain beach. The water is shallow and sand beach safe for kids. There is entry fee to enter the beach area but totally worth it the water is nice an blue unlike other muddy water beach. There are limited change rooms and washroom. There is a kids play area and Kids will have amazing time. Its quite a bit of drive from Winnipeg bit totally worth it. Follow for more.
