I’ve been hauling steel coils from Dofasco for 20 years. I’m amazed at the volume of steel being sold and distributed from their Hamilton location. The company has many long term employees which is an indication that they’re treating them right. Fantastic company...

Worst place in the world.Spent two years in a contract, dealing with insecure dirty middle aged men angry at the world because they wasted their lives in a steel mill.They treat their casuals like pure garbage due to their overhyped senses of self worth.They don't want to provide the training necessary for you to advance and learn the job.Disgusting environment in terms of coworkers and general cleanliness of the site.Calling themselves world-class" until they believe it sadly doesn't make it true.If you aren't looking for a career

They preach safety but don't practice it it's extremely dangerous working conditions we are often forced to work alone.. they put u into jobs with no training.. I'm surprised theres not as many deaths

The only good I can say is that it was close to home for okay pay & full benefits once you’re full time which they are giving people on day 1 I hear now because they can’t find people to work there.The negative… you’ll get fired for no reason.Show initiative = you get written upHR did nothing about the corruption.They want sheep not smart people.It is expected you rat on your coworkers every pay period via their “pyramid builder” cards.I could go on but if you want to know more, message me.In my opinion a waste of my time.They will actually tell you that any experience you bring means nothing!!! No respect.Talk about having it so wrong!Their loss.

I'm always struck by the presumptuousness of such places as this in the expectation that you will be able to intuit all of their rules and regulations and protocols and policies and directions without sufficient signage or human help whatsoever. everything is aimed at making things as simplistic and easy for their own employees while downloading most of the onus for their protocol overload on everyone else.I picked up two coils at the facilities down the road from each other and who knew each coil needed its own CTPAT inspection?? I was kicked out of a huge line up just so another employee could walk around my truck with a mirror on Wheels and do what another employee had just done.This is a perfect example of the wastage and lack of Common Sense just to service protocols and drive up the costs, that pushes organized labour jobs offshore.Protocols and policies should be there to service people. Not the other way around.

It is bad and racist place. White people always consider themselves the superiors and have privileges among the others.

Worked here for one day on the conveyors crew.Absolute rubbish position digging out conveyors andshovelling it onto the conveyor belt. Worst job I haveever experienced and highly underpaid.Stay the hell out of the mills...
