Hilton Garden Inn Kitchener/Cambridge

My family and friends stayed here for my wedding and I want to extend my best compliments and thanks to the entire team - from the front of house management, to security, to housekeeping teams, and Amanda for helping us organize it all. You were all fantastic. Thanks for making our guests feel at home during our wedding festivities.

Would not reccomend. The only room available was the accessible one. When we got there, their was a strong smell of mildew and obvious water damage to the walls. When we asked the fron desk about it they said they didnt know anything about it. But, when taking a shower the bathroom quickly flooded due to a lack of proper drainage, the flooding extended to the room itself. We were moved but the front desk kept saying they had no idea it was a problem, despite the obvious water damage to the room when we showed up. The heated" pool was freezing cold. The amenities like the ice machines and heating all seemed to be broken. 2/10"

I almost always choose Hilton when I travel because I was always happy with the quality of service and the hotels have always been clean, and nicer than the average hotel. Well, I’m done with Hilton. This Hilton has uncomfortable beds, not even a fitted sheet on the bed. The bottom sheet is a flat sheet and very poor quality - you can see through the sheet it’s so thin. Bathroom supplies are minimal and did not include body wash and the rooms are dated. To top it off, I got back to my room after a long day and the room hadn’t been made up. I called down to the desk and was rudely informed that rooms only get cleaned when requested. I said I had never ever had that experience and no one told me that. Instead of asking if I needed anything like fresh towels, creamer for coffee or toiletries- she just said “sorry you have to request it “ terrible service and very substandard beds, sheets and rooms. Oh and the TV has only about 6 channels and half of them are all pixelated so unwatchable!

Staff was super welcoming. They even put up with me calling down for minor issues multiple times. Breakfast was fantastic, make sure to add it on. We will definitely stay again.

This hotel is in a great location but as a guest I noticed how deteriated condition the guest lobby is on the main floor elevator lobby and also the pool area. Alot of wear and tear on doors and door moldings and alot of holes where signs or sanitizer holders used to be.I travel alot and for a Hilton this is not the quality I would expect.The staff is great and well trained.This hotel gets alot of kid sports teams and gets banged up alot.I ate in the restaurant on-site and had seafood. Good quality.

Checked in here today at 4 30. Everything seemed great at first until I tried to use the shower. Ran it for 1 hour and all I got was cold water. When I called front desk to report this she hung up on me! Then called me back to offer me a refund so I left. 200$ a night but hope u don't need to use their showers lol

I was very disappointed in my stay here. This hotel definitely doesn’t live up to the Hilton standards. The whole weekend the parking lot and walkway was covered in snow. All other properties on this street we nicely shovelled and their guest did not have to chance falling on the ice and snow. So dangerous. Secondly when we finally got into our room, there was French fries on the carpet and pepperoni slices in the shower. Very dirty and made me not want to sleep on the beds as I doubted the sheets were clean. Thirdly the showers had little to no strength and the water went from steaming hot to freezing cold. Both my kids got burnt from the shower. I was not impressed. The large group we travelled with were all very disappointed by the quality of this hotel and experienced a lot of the same problems we did. Overall I was very upset with my stay here and did not feel that it was clean nor did I feel like the property was maintained or safety considerations were taken for snow and ice. Not something I expect from a Hilton.

Pretty decent hotel, great breakfast. Do not stay here if you are actually planning to sleep, or traveling for business. However, it is a great place to let your kids run up and down the halls screaming, and slamming doors over and over until midnight. The staff were all very nice, and polite. This would be a great place for a clogging competition.

Not recommended to stay in this hotel!1. The room was not prepared properly upon the guest's arrival. There were no towels or shampoo in the bathroom.2. The room temperature cannot be properly control to a comfortable temperature. It's either too cold or too hot.3. It takes 5minutes for a hint of warm water to come out from the shower. The cold/hot control is installed wrong so you can easily get burnt from turning the water valve in the wrong direction. On top of that, the water pressure is extremely weak!4. Lack of safety protocol! There was a gas leak in the hotel one night but staff just worked as usual and did not take any precaution to warn the guests. The entire lobby smelled like gas but staff didn't bother opening any windows or doors to bring in fresh air. They just looked at their computers and waited for the fireman.

Room was dirty in that there were Hair balls on the floor. The toilet didn’t work. Called the front desk and they sent up someone immediately to fix.A decent breakfast with omelets, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, waffles etc for breakfast. There was a $12 charge per person for breakfast.Decent place to stay for one night when you’re on the road.
