Sheppard's B&B

We went to check in and the owner, Doris, was so inviting. We felt right at home. Beautiful breakfast and there was entertainment for an hour in the evening! The gardens and view were incredible! Would definitely visit again!

We were there for two nights. Beautiful, very clean place with good beds, in an area with lots to do. Doris and Tom entertained us with their music and stories the first evening and took us to a very nice musical venue the second evening.Highly reccomend..

This is a wonderful place to stay. Tom and Doris are 2 of the nicest people you’ll meet. They have a lovely place with great views of the hills around The Tablelands and lovely sunsets over the beach in Trout River. The place is clean, the breakfast is delicious, and the hospitality is second to none. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get a private concert by the 2 of them. It’s a short drive from their place to The Tablelands, Green Gardens, and the Gros Morne Discovery Centre. Well worth the stay.

What a lovely premise and lovely host! Doris and Tom are the most genuine and down to earth people we've met. The room we stayed at was spotless clean and comfortable - a big applause to Doris as she does all the cleaning herself. The location was great since it was a short drive to the restaurant in town, the information centre and famous trails like the Table Land and Green Garden.We are really glad we stayed at Sheppard's B&B and got a chance to hear all the amazing stories of Doris and Tom's incredible life and got to interact with the locals. Their warmth and optimism are just inspirational to us! Make sure you get a chance to hear their live music performance, it was a great treat and we ended up listening to the recordings in the car during our 7 hour drive back to St. John's. What a treat it was to stay at Sheppard’s B&B. Comfy rooms and beds, excellent breakfast options and a taste of the Newfoundland music experience provided by Doris and Tom in their music room. Located close to the Tablelands, hiking trails, a fishing harbor and good restaurants this B&B is spotless and great value for money.

you have a long drive into Trout River but it is well worth it. The topography is superb and something I have never seen before. Doris and Tom open their house, hearts and sense of fun to make you welcome.Unique location, unique hospitality and great comfort.

The place is located uphill with a spectacular view. Room we stayed in is very clean with hardwood floor. The queen bed is very comfortable. We love the all cotton bedding and local famous quilting comforter. Bathroom is cozy but have everything more than we need, lot of towels. Doris and Tom are very hospitality owner. We arrived at the B&B in the middle of the night due to our flight delayed and found Doris and Tom keep the front door and our room lights on for us. We work up late the next morning passed the scheduled breakfast time, Doris and Tom still greeted us with delicious home made breakfast, even though they have

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. Doris and Tom are so attentive and welcoming.Rooms are super clean with full bathrooms king bed tv and comfy couch. We enjoyed Tom and Doris play music and tell stories in the evening. The breakfest was unbelievable. So many choices of homemade goodness. Lots to do in the area if you like hiking.Thanks Tom and Doris we had a great stay.
