Preston seemed very nice and knowledgeable when he came in to look at the roof. We were not home when they actually came in to do the job.My husband went up on the roof afterwards and there was a small hole up on one side of the garage roof, there were nails not covered with callking and few other small issues. My husband called Preston many times after that and he was very hard to get a hold of and was not returning our calls. He came back few days later to finish what what was not yet done and had to fix what my husband showed him but charged extra. More than originally quoted. In general I found Preston not a man of his word. He said one thing but did not follow through with what was promised.

My neighbour friends referred me to Preston based on their positive experience of using him to replace their roof.  Preston and his team did an amazing and thorough job on my house.  I  was pleased by the quality of work and Preston's availability to answer any of my questions.  Well done!

Blown away!I have been in the trades for 20 years, and so I am therefore extremely diligent when selecting a contractor to do any work for me. Couldn't have found a better one through Soutar and Sons!Not only is Preston knowledgeable, and meticulous, but he is someone who cares and puts your best interests at the forefront of decisions when it comes to your home. He recently completed my soffit/fascia/eavestrough and I couldn't be happier. I had picked a colour out while browsing at my local hardware store, but Preston was able to show me how another would work much better with the total picture.If you are looking to spruce up your house, or correct something that needs it, Preston at Soutar and Sons should be top of mind!

I would give 0 stars if I could. Had them install a roof and 3 skylights. The skylights were oversized which Preston said wouldn’t be a problem when in fact it was. They were also installed over the ice and water shield paper and they should’ve been installed onto the sheathing. Because of the the heat loss into the attic because of the oversized skylights it had caused mold and condensation on the bottom side of the sheathing. We called him to fix and he would ignore us and when he did respond he was rude and wouldn’t refund our money. The roof was 2 yes old and we had to get it entirely redone along with new sheathing. Consumer beware.
