Currently enrolled at Sask Polytechnic in plumbing, there are mainly good things to be said about the school, facilities, and staff. The teachers are committed to your education and take the time to make sure you understand key principles while also pushing your understanding. If you need to take technical training here in Saskatoon know you will come out more knowledgeable and confidence to perform on the job. The reason I could not give 5 stars for a rating is based on 1 thing: parking. Upon entrance to the campus you will notice that there is ample parking available; however, most of this available parking is not available to students. You are forced to park in one of few pay to park lots (which is $5 a day). This does not guarantee you a spot. I have paid the parking for a week ($25 for 7 days, which still equates to $5 a day if you are only parking there to attend school) and ended up having to pay for a daily second rate many times because there was no spots in the lot. The worst of this is the fact that Sask Polytechnic does not deal with the parking in this area, a private company does. They are absolutely brutal to deal with, and the only solution to not having to pay to park here is to park 5-10 minutes away from the college and walk. It has been a constant headache and is the worst part of my personal training experience. As a student know that you will have to deal with this too; not as a deterrent from coming here but hopefully to not make the same mistake I did.
