Xpose Salon and Lounge

I got my hair transformed and I am so in love with the result! Ry took the time today (6 hours) to work her beautiful magic on my hair and she did not disappoint at all! She did a fantastic job and I would recommend her to anyone wanting to try out this salon. Xposé is bright and beautiful. I had such a pleasant experience today, probably my best experience from any salon. I was so impressed with the extra measures of cleanliness and time put in to maintain protocol during the pandemic. Thank you Ry and Xposé for such a pleasant and professional service!

From the moment I walked through the beautiful wrought iron gate into the garden entrance I knew that this was no ordinary backyard salon. The grounds are professionally landscaped with a Japanese theme and I could picture myself sipping green tea in the sun on the patio while awaiting my appointment. As I entered the salon I took note of the stylish design and warm ambience. I could feel a level of professionalism that is hard to find in other Nanaimo salons. My appointment was with Kathy the salon owner and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that she has been styling hair for over 25 years! I was impressed to learn that she had travelled internationally where she taught stylists from all over the world the latest colour and cutting techniques. I found Kathy to be warm and easy to talk to but more importantly I found her to be a great listener. I have some challenges with my hair as it wasn’t in the best of condition and I was concerned that adding any more colour to my hair would only add to my troubles. After my initial consultation where we spoke about my lifestyle and what kind of style worked for me and my busy schedule, Kathy took the time to explain to me what she thought would be the best colour and cut for me and how the colour products used at Studio Vogue are not damaging to the hair. In fact some of their products even help restore your hair! Kathy did not disappoint! I felt like a new person when I left the salon. Not only did I leave the salon with a brand new look I left with a new level of self-confidence. Overall I had one of the most enjoyable salon experiences of my life and I am looking forward to returning for my next appointment. Thank you Studio Vogue!

Really unhappy with my dysport injection. First of all I had a major reaction to it, I had a migraine for several days, was nauseas to the point of nearly vomiting several times, a fever, and loose bowels for days. I looked it up and apparently this is a botchulism reaction. I was NEVER told that this was a risk, which should have been part of standard consent instead of me googling and self monitoring (people get hospitalized for this apparently and can die). Secondly, she WAY over injected my forehead and I literally cannot move any part of my forehead or between my eyes, and my whole forhead is dropping down onto my eyelids making them droop. My face looks terrible now, I have literally zero ability to express due to my frozen face. I can't wait until this wears off and I am never doing this again.

Ellen has been my regular stylist for several years. She has kept me 'on trend' and is quite brilliant at styling and colour (blonde highlights for me). Ellen has a big heart, is honest and her services are very reasonably priced.

Beautiful little salon with great design features! Kali did an amazing job on our son's hair. Be aware that you cannot turn left into their parking lot if you are heading north from downtown, no matter what Google maps tells you!

This was my first appointment at the salon after being recommended to the owner Rachelle, and had a truly special experience. I am new(ish) to being blonde and actually maintaining the colour and know little to nothing about how to properly take care of my hair. Rachelle took the time to explain each of the products she uses and why, suggested what was best for my style and type of hair, and didn't push anything specific on me to make the sale. It was purely educating me on what she likes to use and why. She showed me along the way why she was doing certain things to my hair in terms of the cut and colour so I understood the method and the process which has never been done with me in my many years of getting my hair colored. I have been looking for a new stylist to build a relationship with, who understands my hair and my lifestyle, and am truly happy with the service that Rachelle provided. I felt like we were life long friends and can't wait for the next appointment on my hair journey!

I LOVE this salon… seriously, they can make your hair dreams come true lol I’ve been coming here on and off for years, I love to go from dark brown to blonde and every time a hair dresser (or me) have ruined my hair or couldn’t achieve my goals, I’d come to Xpose salon and they would fix it and make it look and feel amazing!!! ♥️ I remember a couple years ago, I tried to go platinum blonde and my hair was destroyed, orange and fried, I came in and had rachelle as my hair dresser and she brought life back to my hair and turned it into platinum. the last lady I had was Kali.. I came in wanting blonde balayage (my hair was too dark and unhealthy to achieve first try) but she gave me super cute bangs and highlights and I walked out the salon feeling great ! She was super sweet and personable and listened very carefully to what I wanted and gave me great tips and advice and I want to have her as my hairdresser from here on out ♥️

What a wonderful morning! I am so happy with my highlight and lowlight colour and cut, I’ve had many compliments so far, Kristie (feeling great) and I’m only 6 hours into my new look!My daughter’s appointment, with Rachelle, didn’t quite meet her expectations, definitely not from the lack of trying from the stylist. Close, so very close and to my surprise, my daughter was charged for only the hair cut!Really! Wow!!The salon was beautiful, clean and inviting.Monday most salons are closed. From the second I walked through the doors I was impressed with the cleanliness and professionalism of the lounge. The atmosphere and aesthetic was really great. I got my hair done with Ry. At first I was a little apprehensive about how the colour turned out as I had went in looking to get a bright coppery colour and when my hair was done, it came out a deeper of a red but honestly as it turns out, I LOVE IT sooo much more!! The colour suits me perfectly which I would have never thought, I have already gotten many compliments on my hair and its only been a half day! I am extremely happy with how it ended up turning out. Not only did she end up nailing the perfect red shade for me, my hair is also the softest and shiniest its ever been. The whole process was great. She also gave me bangs which I haven't had in years and I am obsessed with them. So thank you Ry!!
