BCFSA is a complete disaster! I have been trying to get relicensed and after waiting for several days to get an answer back on the Iris portal" the links they sent me does not work.I talked to someone finally from bcfsa and she told me that the issue is technical and she transfered me to tech support

Does this office exist? I am writing this review while on hold for the last 30 minutes, does anyone know how to get through or do you need to show up in person? I've sent emails, I've called an called, nobody answers.

On BCFSAs website they claim to be “protecting the public” however based on my experience with them that claim couldn’t be further from the truth. They should be investigated for incompetence and negligence.

They simply won't help you. They allow BC FIs to discriminate you and won't enforce any federal PIPEDA on those so called community credit unions.

I would give less stars if possible. Horrible experience dealing with this office...not much point filing a complaint- they don’t seem to do anything about it anyways... waste of time

I don’t think anyone there knows how to pickup a phone. And when they call back the tone in their voice makes it seem like you’re an inconvenience to them

They returned my call with delay. I got 2 phone calls from 2 different people (second after 8 days), so the right hand has no clue what the left is doing. Appears completely disorganized. Then I received 2 emails which were contra dictionary. I asked for a simple letter, so I can get re-lisensed, a templeted letter, but after 10 days they could still not send it by email. How typical for government cronies. Not impressed. Rather disgusted! Probably too many people working there, and their boss is no good either.

Horrible institution.They are not there to do anything.They don't care about consumer protection or illegal activity. They are looking for someone that broke the BC FINANCIAL INSTITUTION ACT.That means nothing if you don't protect people using all Canadian laws.
