Had been to this location before and we loved it. We went today Sunday, July 2nd at 5:30pm and we had the worst experience. The lady working there wearing pink crocs was extremely unwelcoming since the moment we arrived. Taking our order felt like she was doing us a favour. When we paid, my husband asked for the receipt and she literally almost threw it at him. I asked for the bathroom and she barley pointed the kitchen not even proper directions. We ordered 3 pokes. Two to eat there and one to go. We were hoping we could eat our Pokes there with our 2 year old that was having a Tim Hortons muffin. She kicked us out in the most demeaning way. I am terribly shocked about her behaviour towards us since the moment we arrived. I understand that outside food is not allowed but never thought anyone would kick us out over a 2 year old eating a muffin while we eat food from the restaurant. When she kicked is out, I told her that the whole experience had been terrible since we arrived. She said, well just leave, you need to take care of your child. I thought that was extremely rude. As much as we enjoy the food there, we just can’t go back knowing she will be working there. Extremely disappointed.

We had the most horrible customer service experience when we visited here last night. We eat out quite a bit and have never encountered this kind of service anywhere. It is rare for us to post reviews, but unfortunately, we find this unacceptable, especially for a well-known restaurant in the Goldstream area. We didn't even feel like eating our poke bowl after the experience.The staff who served us were extremely unwelcoming from the moment we entered the store. Their attitude towards us made us feel like we had done something terrible. They made it clear that they did not like us. We noticed that our portions were intentionally undercut, and we only received half scoops of the items we picked. As other reviewers have mentioned, the staff also pretended that they couldn't hear us properly. Overall, it just felt weird and awkward communicating with them.We have been to Island Poke multiple times before, and this was actually the first bad experience we had. We are quite sad because we enjoyed coming here.

Don’t go there. I feel like I am not welcomed to that place. The lady there did not greet us. It looked like I am owing her some money! I had a better experience in the downtown one.

I usually go to the downtown location but I've been here a few times with my former boyfriend in the past and now recently my cousin who favors this location. I usually prefer to dine in but usually do takeout if the outing is with my cousin due to her personal choice.Either way it's quick, simple and delicious. I think this location used a really strong disinfectant in the kitchen and it sort of made me dizzy while I made my order in my current visit.

Yummy food! Not like the big poke chains. The taste is unique and portion and price is good. Lots of poke in mine and the sauces are very yummy. I also really like their pretty compostable bowls and utensils. A must try!

Nice late lunch experience. There’s a bit of a line up but ordering service is prompt and the staff recalls exactly what ingredients encompass my Ohanna bowl. Seats and tables are clean with ample sunlight. Will definitely visit again.

Love the modern and minimalist look to the place. Accompanied by some awesome poke bowls makes for a memorable visit!Love the different kind of signature bowls, it keeps the menu fresh. Making your own poke is also a great option averaging around $15. There is a huge variety to choose from. Try different types of sauces and crunch is always nice with some friend onion.Just be sure not to mix the wasabi, accidentally underestimate how much there was and it was a bit too strong. Awesome staff and service is swift and professional!

First poke bowl ever - very enjoyable. Wild sockeye salmon and ahi tuna with a soy sauce based sauce. It was a great lunch.

Crunchii and Spicy Salmon are the best, I love them!!! Sooooo delicious!!! Regularly come back for these two bowls for almost 3 years.Fish are fresh and many choices of vegetables and other ingredients. You might wanna try their burrito when they are not busy.
