Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake
Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake store is an absolute delight for cheesecake and dessert lovers like myself! I have had the pleasure of ordering from this store not just once, but twice, and each experience has been exceptional. One of the highlights from my visits was trying their heavenly angel hats in two different flavours: strawberry and Earl Grey. Personally, I found the Earl Grey angel hat to be my preferred choice. It struck the perfect balance of flavours, not overly sweet but incredibly satisfying. In fact, I couldn't resist devouring the entire angel hat in one sitting! As for the original cheesecake, it was simply divine, melting in my mouth with every bite. One more treat that caught my attention was the Matcha Cheese Tart. This single-serving delight was a creamy sensation with a rich cheese filling that perfectly complemented the distinct matcha flavor. Here's a breakdown of the items I ordered:- Original Japanese Cheesecake ($14): Absolutely delicious and true to the Japanese cheesecake style, it was a melt-in-your-mouth experience.- Strawberry Angel Hat ($14.50): A delightful variation of the angel hat, the strawberry flavour added a fruity twist that was both refreshing and indulgent.- Earl Grey Angel Hat ($14.50): This was my personal favourite, with the delicate aroma of earl grey tea infusing each bite, providing a unique and delightful taste.- Matcha Cheese Tart (single) ($3.75): Creamy, cheesy, and boasting the distinct flavour of matcha, this tart was a small but satisfying treat.Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake store continues to impress with their delectable cheesecakes and mouthwatering desserts. Whether you're a fan of the original cheesecake or want to explore their diverse menu, this place is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. Treat yourself to these delightful creations—you won't be disappointed!

Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake
On a Saturday at around 7:30 p.m., I stopped over, and there was a long queue out the door. A 15 minute wait time was about average. A original cheesecake (14$) and a yuzu tart (3.75$ per piece or 20$ for a pack of six for tarts) were our orders. The original cheesecake was excellent; it was lovely and fluffy. The tart was alright, but I'm still confused about what it tasted like. Although I'm not sure if the wait and cost were worthwhile, I'm still happy i had the opportunity to try it.

Love the new updated storefront! This chain is amazing and their Japanese cheesecake is unlike anything else I’ve ever had. It’s so light and fluffy, yet rich and cheesy, one must be careful not to eat the whole thing in one sitting (you will probably get a tummy ache, but it’s so tempting!). The decorative box it comes in also has instructions (and it recommends keeping it in the fridge for a deeper cheesecake flavour, which I HIGHLY recommend doing). When you enter the door, it smells amazing. I’ve only ever had their one-of-a-kind cheesecake in its original flavour, but I’ve heard the cheese tarts and matcha cheesecake are also amazing; gonna definitely come back for those! Just fore-warning: there is usually a line, so be patient; the bakers are working as fast as they can!

Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake
Stopped in at around 6:40 on a Sunday and there was a line snaking through the store. It was about a 20 minute wait. We ordered a cheesecake, a cheese tart, and the matcha cheese tart. The cheesecake was great - it was nice and fluffy and light. The tarts were not my cup of tea. I discovered that maybe tarts are just not my thing. They have rotating flavors but I’m not sure how often that changes. I’m not sure if it was worth the wait, but I’m still glad we got the chance to check it out.

This place is busy and have little longer lines at times. But standing in line is worth to get the taste of this yummy cheesecake. Matcha tart is sooo good. Original cheesecake is very subtle sweet, soft, warm and yummy it just melts in mouth.

Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake
Fantastic place to get a genuine Japanese cheesecakes. Light, airy and delicious. Be sure to order it warm and try the different flavors ONLY after trying the traditional. It’s Fantastic. The place is connected to a large office eating area so seating isn’t possible inside Tetsu but available in the adjacent building.

Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake
At the time of writing, Uncle Tetsu’s doesn’t exist anywhere in the European Union so we visited the one in Toronto (we missed our chance in Vancouver!). We’ve never tried Japanese style cheesecake before and we’re so glad we tried their classic cheesecake. Uncle Tetsu’s, the one from Toronto’s Bay Steet anyway, was very airy, light and tasty. Wish we bought more from them!

Uncle Tetsu's Japanese Cheesecake
My wife loves cheesecakes, & I’ve never been to this place. Uncle Tetsu is famous for its original cheesecake and other tarts. We went there on Family day around 8 pm and it had a long line up, which shows how much their cheesecake is worth the wait. It was so fluffy and tasted so sweet. We definitely took couple those original cheesecakes and I am still hogging on it. A must try for cheesecake lovers.
