MATTEO DISTASIO; I've read the horrible comments and I completely agree with yall about his character. He acts as if he is superior and you must give him what he wants, HAHA. Nice try clown. He speaks rudely and does not respect your time and knowledge. I did not buy anything from him, but I did come across him when he wanted to buy something from me. He does act as if he is poor and says I can't spend that much...well it's your choice pal don't buy it then. After complaining he's poor, he starts bragging about his possessions. LOL, nobody cares. A poor character and small minded person will never go far in life. Anyone buying or gettting services from him, if you need help, go to BBB. They will intervene and help you. Make sure you have proof of communication, purchase etc. PAPER TRAIL . Good luck

Do not take your signs for repair here. I bought my sister a neon sign for her wedding and it was dropped. Matteo promised to fix it before the wedding date. He charged my brother in law double the price ($450) of what he had discussed with my sister and the sign came back broken. He is refusing to refund my brother in law and has been completely unprofessional. The way this young couple has been treated and taken advantage of is disgusting.

My review is of the owner, Matteo, not the sign business specifically. But with a small shop like this, it’s really the same thing. And, after reading my comments, read what others have said here about Matteo and you’ll see a consistently dismal picture of unscrupulous behavior.Matteo recently bought an item I had listed on Craigslist. The item isn’t important and he did arrive on time and paid a fair price.However, it’s his pre-purchase behavior that disgusted me and showcased a fundamental dishonesty that should preclude anyone from considering doing business with him.In our pre-purchase email discussion Matteo pretended to be an unsophisticated, nearly illiterate buyer with poor English skills and no technical abilities. He wasted a considerable amount of my time asking questions about the item that he surely knew or could have learned the answer too. He kept up the “rube” pretense up by text right up to the time he was parked in front of my house.Interestingly, he’s done this before. In his first email to me he (inadvertently?) included a copy of an email he sent to someone else on Craigslist, lowballing them on an item while pretending to be an old person with no money.When we finally did meet to complete the sale, he was smug, cocky and derisively thanked me for my generosity. He was arrogant enough to hand me his business card, which pointed me to this site to leave this review.Maybe he thinks his scam act is funny, or harmless, or a game or is OK because he shows up and buys things.But he is a sleazy jerk, pretending age, poverty and cluelessness in an attempt to obtain a low price, rather than negotiating openly and honestly.Would you do business with someone like this?PS: I’ve saved his emails in case anyone wants to see them.

Don’t deal with Matteo, terrible service! Charged double the cost of a brand new sign, lies and takes advantage often, sign doesn’t even work after “repair,” and refuses to help!! Terrible service! Avoid at all costs!!

Vancouver SIgn Services made a medussa light sign for me and it was awesome

Had a neon light built for our store and it was awesome but only for a short period of time ,( 6 months ) and then it started to fade in some letters . I called the owner and told me it was temperature related and that’s the reason why parts of the sign were not bright . The company didn’t even come down and show any customer service or any follow up. Or anything to make it right . Please shop around when your looking for neon sign!! I regret referring people to this company

Matteo has by far the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. As a small business owner, I am embarrassed that we’re in the same realm.Matteo was tasked with repairing a neon sign for me for my wedding. It accidentally broke, and my fiancé drove all around the lower mainland trying to fix it.We found Matteo, he shook my fiancé’s hand and looked him in the eye and promised him the sign would be fixed.We paid Matteo DOUBLE what he had promised.My sign is still broken. Matteo refuses to refund our money.Matteo, you are the sole person who has single handily put a bitter taste in my mouth for my wedding.I hope you know that you are a thief, and you are a liar. I hope no one ever conducts business with you again.You will be hearing from the BBB, and the CRA. I have proof you accept money under the table.Best of luck to you.
