Ordered the special set (常餐) - satay beef with spaghetti in soup (沙爹牛肉意)& sunny-side-up eggs with ham and toast. It is not like the traditional satay that I could see the satay sauce but I personally like the taste of it especially the soup. The hot lemon tea is great. Very good service. Please keep it up. Thanks.

Nice, clean and cosy Hong Kong style restaurant on Yonge street with convenient parking. We had a breakfast here in a quiet morning. The restaurant is crowded with people and it is spacious so it is comfortable. The interior is in modern style with concrete walls with wood. We had 2 breakfast set. One is Satay Beef Macaroni with Butter Toast and another one is Instant Noodle Soup with Luncheon & Egg with Butter Toast. We had a milk tea and coffee & tea for the drink. The Satay soup base is light and the instant noodle soup base is good. The Satay beef are delicious. The milk tea drinks are nice.

Great food, service, and atmosphere! Very well presented and tasty. There was still the buy 1 get 1, 33% off special when I was there last. The only thing was that I did not receive any of the points on my app even though I spoke to the server about getting them.

Tried the satay beef with instant noodle and also a thick toast. The satay beef is tasty (asked for extra satay) and goes quite well with the instant noodle. The instant noodle is nicely cooked as it’s not soagy. This dish I would give it a four stars in terms of taste but the whole combo cost about $14 plus tax and tips so factor that in price performance, I am giving it a 3 stars for this visit. The thick toast is a typical thick toast…

Visited to try their takeout options. The food was decent with good portion sizes. Parking at the restaurant was tight as there were not as many spaces as their Bayview location. Items were a bit more on the pricey side. The Baked Cheese Chicken Steak Cutlet with Black Pepper Sauce was decent but the fried cutlet did not have much flavour on the breading. What helped the dish was mainly the black pepper sauce as the main flavour to the dish. The Pork Chop Cutlet with Egg Sauce was good and was a fair portion size. The Malaysian Curry was decently spicy and pairs well with the steamed rice. Other popular items such as the Hainanese Chicken were not available later in the day so it is recommended to order this earlier.Service for takeout was a bit slow but was also due to the number of orders during peak times with delivery orders as well. Anticipate a 15+ minute wait for take out and limited parking on site depending on time. There is a community centre nearby which is a short (under 3 mins) walk away to park at with more spaces.

Great food and at a decent price! Modern takes on some of Hong Kong's favourite Western and Asian dishes.I personally recommend the hot plate dishes and the cheese casseroles, can't go wrong with either of those. For something lighter the sandwiches are great as well.Obviously no visit to a place like this is complete without some HK milk tea (which I always get hot, the aroma and flavour immediately takes me back to HK)!Phoenix Restaurant 2.0 is quickly becoming my new favourite in the area.

This looks like a regular Phoenix from the outside but I think the menu is slightly different (although I may be wrong bc it's been a while since I've been to Phoenix). For example the kids menu items seem new and they have items similar to Mabu, like stone pot donburi and sizzling plates. Also the menu is much smaller than the regular Phoenix. Everything my friends and I ordered were really good and this is a good option for HK food since there's not much else in this area other than Good Luck. Prices seem a bit high tho, like the hainanese chicken was $17 when I swear it used to be like $13-15.They only take debit or cash (cash has 10% off) so prepare accordingly.

I was mind-blown when I saw how LARGE my pork chop cutlet rice dish was at the NEW Phoenix Restaurant 2.0 at Yonge/Cummer area! The gentleman beside us saw our dish, and ordered the same one lol.C07 焗芝士茄汁吉列豬扒飯• Baked Cheese Pork Chop Cutlet with Tomato Sauce on Rice (also comes with a hot beverage)This dish came with, not one but TWO large pieces of porkchop cutlet! Make sure you ask for extra sauce (no extra charge). The cutlet was tender and juicy, and the skin was super crispy on the outside. I was thinking of ordering dessert, but that idea was out the door!Definitely need to come back to try more creations! Apparently, there are lots of items on the menu that are exclusive to this location ^^

The power of the building went out just as we were gonna make dinner. I wanted to get Japanese but bf wanted this instead. I'd walked past this place many times and thought they were like a Cantonese restaurant but i was surprised to see their menu being a full on Hong Kong cha-chaan-teng (HK-style diner/greasy spoon). As a Hong Kong boy, my expectation was high and this place lived up to my expectation, especially when this (cheese casserole with fried chicken in tomato sauce) which is one of my all time fav HK dishes (also the BF was the only white guy the entire time we were there, while most of everyone around us spoke pretty much in Cantonese).A good balance of the sauce, cheese and rice, which came fried already (instead of plain steamed rice, bonus point!).I was very torn between getting the HK style iced tea or Thai iced tea (both of which being my fav!) but I opted for the latter, as I was feeling adventurous and again that blew my socks off. Their Thai iced tea was even better than the one I got from another Thai dessert place in downtown that's run by Thai folks, which changed a bunch of key ingredients to suit with the local taste" (whatever that means - or perhaps cheaper alternatives they could find here or simply skip!)Hidy
