Disappointing! I bought yarn on their Simcoe base and it is clearly underdyed showing white flecks throughout plus it bled on my hands. It took 3 emails and 2 months for them to tell me they won’t help me as the yarn was already knitted and passed the 30 day mark. Will not buy from them ever again.Update (october 2022): after the owner was made aware of this review, she reached out and and helped to solve the issue. She could not fix the yarn but offered another option. I had initially delt with one of her employee whom I learned no longer works there.

In April this creator's work went, understandably, viral and all around the world thousands of fiber fans jumped at the chance to purchase her individually hand dyed yarn. With great long term insight and wisdom, the owner took the risk to scale up her production capacity to manage the overwhelming response.In the months that have followed she has remained consistent with her communication, even through some extreme health situations. Regular posts showing the yarn production help those of us waiting know that she is committed and working harder than any viral indy artist I have seen.In the meantime she has continued to create beautiful and alluring photographs that keep me excited about future colorways and creations. She and her team are responsive to messages and keep the news coming.I so look forward to working with this custom artist hand-dyed unique yarn. I'll update with photos when it arrives!

absolutely awful customer service. First time purchasing from The Blue Brick and I will NEVER order again! They don't answer emails, they don't update customers, and they act as if they are not grateful for your business. It took 6 months to get the yarn I ordered. It was not a dye to order skein of yarn and even if it was, that is an unreasonable amount of time. I reached out several times and only once they responding and it was extremely rude! I was going to cancel my order, but since they didn't answer emails, I wasn't sure they would even process a refund. Maybe that would have taken 6 months as well. Finally received the yarn and it is absolutely not worth the money. It looks beautiful on the website; it was totally different when I got it. I realize computers are different. I buy A LOT of yarn and this isn't because of my" computer. THE WORSE I HAVE EVER GOTTEN!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN! Please don't waste your time

Fantastic products! The yarn is a dream to work with. The colors and the feel are amazing. The ceramic bowl I bought is perfect for a large cake of yarn and a delight to look at. Every time I purchase from The Blue Brick I am happy with the products when they arrive. I have used the Tito Hat pattern at least 4 times. It is one of my favorites and my teenagers love the finished product. That alone is a miracle. The only time I had to contact customer service they were so quick to reply. Love this group! One day I will visit in person!

I really want to believe in this small business when I ordered yarn back in April. It is now the end of September, I have gotten 2 emails in all that time saying they were behind and I often see posting about new products on her Instagram page. If she would have stayed in contact and focused on the orders she needs to complete over designing new products I wouldn't have just asked for my return. I would have been fine with waiting if the customer service wasn't terrible. Don't order from here! I have never seen the yarn and cannot speak to its quality.

I've bought yarn from here twice now and the yarn is very soft and lovely to work with.I ran into some issues with my sweater kit where the colours and transitions on the arms didn’t match up. Shireen was very good about helping with my issue even though I didn’t discover it until after the return period, when I went to knit the second sleeve. I appreciate the commitment to standing behind their products to make things right.

Edit: I've received my yarn and am absolutely thrilled with it! I will definitely do business with them again.I am one of the people who ordered just after the Wingspan “explosion”. To my mind, the owner of this company has gone overboard in her attempts to keep her customers informed about timelines while also being completely honest and transparent. In fact, I fear that her insistence on total transparency is likely what has brought her the negative reviews from unhappy people out here. Even though I’m a ways out yet from seeing my first order I’ve already placed a second order, and I’m just as happy to wait for it as I am for the first.

Yesterday I received my yarn that I ordered as part of the wingspan kit and it is beautiful! I was one who ordered back in April and it is definitely worth every second of the wait. It really is stunning and a pleasure to work with.I have never had a problem with the customer service myself. My messages were responded to in a good time frame and my questions have always been answered.I personally feel that Shireen has been very open with regards to wingspan orders and I have seen posts about it very regularly on Facebook.She has explained the need to reopen her store to create revenue. At the same time she also explained very clearly that any new orders received will not be fulfilled until all wingspan orders are complete. The wingspan orders are not being overlooked for the sake of new custom. Unfortunately some people don't want take notice of the information that is regularly being given out.I think Shireen has done amazingly well considering all that has happened. I have placed my next order already and I'm very excited about the next lot of squishy, I know it will be amazing

Waited well over 6 months to receive an order of 2 skeins of yarn. Had to repeatedly request information concerning shipment rather than the business reaching out to keep me informed.Their responses were also completely unacceptable. I was told the yarn would ship at the end of the month, EVERY MONTH since placing the order!A simple we don't know" would have been better than being lied to repeatedly.Yarn quality for Killarney Sock is nothing special. It actually feels rougher than most others of the same composition. This may change after washing but that's the initial reaction.The 2 colors that I finally received appear far more sophisticated online than they do in person. Was surprised to see how bright the colors were as that was not what I was expecting.Bottom line: I would never buy from this business again."

Shireen's small, home run business exploded unexpectedly. She has done everything possible to scale up, including opening a store where she can get more yarn dyed and hired 3 staff. Nothing she does can please the critics. Her yarn is gorgeous and her customer service, in the circumstances, has been wonderful. Critics should cancel their order and move on with their lives
