We recently moved to the Sanford area from Ontario. We were previously Bell customers and were continually disappointed with the service from a national company. We did our research of the local providers and decided to try VISP. They did not disappoint! Ryan in sales has been outstanding in getting us set up. Our pings, upload and download speeds have been consistently better than advertised! It has been wonderful to get prompt service from a live local person who knows where I live and understands what I need. Well done VISP!

We’ve been with VISP pretty much since they started in the Winkler area. At the beginning it was rocky but they got it sorted our eventually. Every so often we have to go through the motions of trying to diagnose the problem for them when the speeds and ping go for a loop. Repeated rebooting, emails, phone calls buying new routers and then we are ok for a while. We’ve had to replace routers a lot since we went with visp. Not sure if it’s misdiagnosing or if somehow these routers can’t handle whatever it is they have going on. They used to last virtually forever before we got visp. They always seem to be very eager to fix the connection speeds but it takes a lot of time and effort on my part to make that happen. Phone tag, and wasted evenings. Or taking time off work to accommodate their need for diagnosing. I think The equipment they have is being overloaded with the amount of people they are trying to feed internet to. They may need to upgrade on some of that in the near future if they want to keep the customers they have.

Had a 15 Mbps down plan installed in early summer and it has been phenomenal. Extremely high up-time and speeds are often a little higher than 15/3. Professional installers and helpful people at the office regarding payment and contract info. great local solution.

Only been with Visp for a month - customer service is friendly enough but I've had major issues with disconnecting, not getting my package speed, asked to power cycle my router everytime I call in which works for all of 10 minutes before I get disconnected again. Not a great first impression. I was then told it's my router (that they provided me, a month ago, and charged me for) so I'm expected to buy a third party router to fix the problem which seems entirely unfair this would be at my own expense. Would not recommend. Will be looking to terminate my contract asap.

Where we live, I guess it is hard to maintain a connection. So far it seems wind, rain, or snow will disrupt the service. Can't wait for valley fiber! EDIT - VISP found the issue so I hope the service is now more reliable.

I'm paying a premium price for VISP's 10mbps plan, yet every evening my speeds drop down to 2-3mbps, and my ping climbs higher than 500ms! Cannot stream anything with that speed, or play any online games with a ping that high. I have contacted support many times over that last year that I have been with VISP, and they have determined the problem is that the access point I am connected to is over saturated. They keep telling me they are working on it, but it keeps getting worse! They are selling more internet bandwidth then they can support.Edit-Dec 2017My connection from VISP has been down 3 times in the last week for hours on end(the latest being 18hrs!). Each time its literally minutes after their office opens again my connection is restored. How can an ISP provide a service that has no redundancy or failover? This is getting ridiculous!

We had our dish and router installed today, and were very happy with the service! Professional, friendly, on time, and did a great job. So far we are very happy, the speeds are what they said they would be. I would recommend VISP to everyone!

We recently had VISP installed and it has worked great. We always get above the posted speeds and the latency (ping) is way better than MTS. In my area they are the only other option other than MTS who has completely given up on my community. It's nice to see a company invest in a rural market. Keep up the good work!!

Have always had better speeds than expected, any service maintenance is told to you ahead of time! The only reason this isn’t a five star review is it can be difficult to get in contact with someone.

VISP has been a very positive experience for me. The sales rep was very professional, installers were very efficient and had great ideas to improve the service around the house and tech support has been very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The speed as always been above the rate promised me in my package. I have and will continue to encourage others to join VISP.
