We are having an amazing time here tonight! The food is fantastic, as usual, and our server Bree is just the best! One member of our party has special dietary needs, so Bree double checked ingredients with the Kitchen before we finalized our food order; we really appreciated her efforts!The live music is entertaining and adds to the great ambiance!

GREAT ATMOSPHERE, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD!!! Had my husband's 60th at the Malt and Barley and it was a success!! Everyone loved the food and our server, Keelin, was amazing at getting everyone their drinks quickly!! I would highly recommend this venue for your next lunch or dinner outing!! FYI...by far the best wings in KW!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very quaint place... Comfortable decor. First time visit. Ordered mussels to start, then clam chowder x2 and poutine to share. Mussels were tasty and the marinara was exquisite with the herbs. Both Clam chowders were lukewarm but a warmer one replaced it. Problem also was the lack of clams... It basically tested like expensive potato soup. Presentation was nice though. Might have a one off but I probably wouldn't try their soup again. Sad as they have a Seafood Chowder on the menu but will it have seafood in it???

We went just for dessert on a lark. My wife had been once before and noticed sticky toffee pudding on the menu, so she knew we had to go there together. The decor and atmosphere were warm and honey. We ordered the cinnamon pinwheel and the sticky toffee pudding to share. Both were delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was light and airy compared to the kind that we get from the grocery store.

Ordered 3 orders of fish and chips tonight, fish was just ok and the fries were a huge disappointment. Not fresh, cold and stale like they had been cooked yesterday. Portion of fries were small but doesn't really matter when you can't eat them. This is not the first time. Fish portion is good.

We ordered from here through uber eats. So I can imagine how good the food it would be eating in the restaurant because it was fantastic as it was. We ordered pickle fingers which is a dill pickle pizza cut into strips and is delicious highly recommend this. But then I also got the southern fried vegetable sandwich and oh my God this one of the best fried sandwich I have ever had. I love a good fried chicken sandwich but this blew every chicken sandwich I have ever had out of the water. So if you are Vegetarian or if you at least have a open mind and love flavourful food this is for you.

It's a old brittish inspired pub that looks like a fun place to go for a beer and see live music. As a lunch spot it left a lot to be desired. Not very many classic options on the menu but a lot of cool" foods. Service was a little lacking the day we were there leaving us feeling forgotten until it was time to pay."

Pub fare is not typically my first choice when I think to eat out, though I do enjoy it very much. Having said that, I visited Malt & Barley with some family who wanted to check the place out, as they had heard that the wings here were top rate.Indeed, the wings here are absolutely fantastic. I ordered the Dry Cajun flavour, which had a nice light crisp on the outside, with juicy meat on the inside. The spice had a very mild hint of heat to it and had great flavour, and not over-salted as can often be the case with dry rubs. I also tried the Chipotle Mustard, which also fared well. Both of my other family members agreed that the wings were great. We added an order of fries to share among us, which sadly, were not as inspiring. They weren't bad, but they did not seem like they were freshly made, as they were a touch on the soggy side as if they had been made 20 minutes earlier. At the time we dined, we were the only ones in the restaurant.The wait staff was prompt and attentive. Prices are what you'd expect with today's rising food costs, and there's plenty of free parking nearby.This place doesn't change the fact that pub fare still won't be my primary choice for eating out, but if I'm ever craving wings, this place definitely deserves consideration.
