High interest loans for low credit , almost have 29Gs payed off , but when you need help , they do nothing for you. Dealt with double payment withdrawls before deposit goes in , racking up mutiple interest fees from rifco and the bank.Would Never go back to them again.

Got auto financing with this company. 6 days before first payment was due to come out, my spouse and I were mugged in Spain with all of our cards and ID stolen. In a rush to make sure we wouldn’t lose any money we locked our accounts. I called Rifco to see if we could push payment back 2 days until Im back home and can secure my account in person, OR etransfer them the money now from an account that’s card was not stolen or change the autowithdraw to that account.I was told “You need to provide us 8 days make changes. Because this is the first payment on your loan and you won’t be making it, we have no choice but to reposess your car.” Zero sympathy or willingness to work with me. When I called the rep out on it, she put me on hold for over 10 minutes on an international call (expensive!) while she “looked into options”. Then she came back and said I could etransfer… which was one of the options I had already presented to her in the initial discussion to which she said “no, we are going to go ahead and repossess your car.”I decided to end the conversation unresolved and work with scotiabank on making sure the account was secured and would release autopayments. Scotiabank was way more sympathetic and helpful. I’m stuck with Rifco for now, but if you’re about to sign a loan with them, be aware that they threaten you and do not offer solutions until after they’ve made you feel intimidated and low.

Unable to work with their customers, and interest rates unacceptable. I had the sufficient amount of money to make my payment but they returned it as NSF for god knows what reason and now I’m still dealing with the NSF fee as well as facing repossession. These guys are going to be the reason for going into bankruptcy and I don’t even care if they repo the vehicle at this point.

Please beware. This company has fraudulent practices. They give you financing and then you will notice payments don’t come out. When we tried to contact them they are impossible to get a hold of. Our loan doubled a few months later and then your vehicle will get towed. It seems that there are other reviews that are similar. Mechanic shops that recommend Rifco are likely working with them to dupe customers. There are other financing companies that are trustworthy. This business should be closed and charged for fraud.

Was approved for a loan for a vehicle through this company and sherwood park nissan, as soon as rifco discovered that the company I work for was stationed on reserve land, they backed out of the deal. Do not take loans from a company that clearly is discriminatory towards indigenous company's and their employees.

Dont deal with them! If you fall on bad times they will send in the bailiff to take your car. Was talking to one of the agents to make arrangements. And after having just made a large payment I was surprised to have a bailiff taking my car when a payment literally just cleared. Now I have an extra 1000 to pay because they don't communicate with one another.

Absolutely horrid company. I'm not sure if they are slowly going out of business but they had zero sympathy for a struggling mom of four. Rifco financed a lift kit for our company truck. After an emergency in December we began struggling to make payments on time, but never fell behind on more than two. April 2023 I paid up two payments after having Andrew offer me until the following week before issuing a warrant" for my vehicle

Such a sad business. Definitely don’t know how to run a business let alone a ‘loaner’. I’d literally tell anyone take your business elsewhere it’s not worth the heartache. They will screw you over even when you call them and make a plan. Wow. Sad excuse of a business.

Non caring, rude once, can’t work with someone in a very tough situation. I had a knee operation that got botched or something was missed. Had to have another so I could walk properly. Two major surgeries in 9 months on the same knee around the same area. I explained my situation to this company on a lot of occasions. Dec 21 I lost one disability payment and as a result could not make a payment, at that time I asked this company if I could make a greatly reduced payment to 50 every two weeks then in Sept refinance the months I missed in a new loan, they would not. I even gave them a little money on occasion during this time to show I could give something but I told them I would have to take from another bill to pay this one. In a few short months everything will be back as it should, in my old job or a new one, it’s obvious that this company doesn’t understand a tough situation this can happen to responsible people. When I asked for a Manager to call me because of a bad comment they never even called, thoughtless. Some of the people I talked to were nice and understanding but this is on their management, in short search out auto lenders that are BBB compliant, have good ratings and when buying and financing a car don’t go on a finance managers recommendation. Do your own based on the options they give you for finance companies. There is good ones, B lendersRemember Customer service and kindness is a vital part of business, Also A good company has to acknowledge when a customer has tough times and should provide understanding and go beyond professional service to make a customer happy with the hopes of that customer returning. I have had my own business in the past unfortunately when the recession hit in the 80s my business went under but the fundamentals of customer service and go and beyond what can be done is what makes a company successful and long lasting but still sometimes the economy can get in the way of that.
