A great little farm with very good cheese and fresh eggs.

Stayed at the AirBNB that is at this farm and was a great experience. Heather and her crew were very sociable and friendly. Lots of great animals. Would recommend coming here.

What an amazing experience for anyone looking for a rustic getaway.

Heather is a wonderful lady! We had an excellent time chatting with her and learning about how to make cheese!! She is an encyclopedia of cheese making knowledge, 10/10 recommended going for a class!! We will definitely be back once we've mastered the beginner recipes. We purchased a deluxe cheese making kit as well which is an excellent value and has everything we need to make a ton of cheeses!

What a great weekend in nature at Sweetwood Farms! Heather was an awesome host! The yurt was surprisingly spacious and nicely decorated with all amenities needed. We enjoyed a nice walk through the property including time spent with the super cute goats! The 2 hour cheese-making demo was well worth it as we got to try our own feta cheese! Heather also supplied us with a delicious breakfast with homemade scones, fruit, eggs, sausage, cheese and yummy salted caramel as well as a goat cheese mini cheesecake with cartridge berries! Very fun experience that I would recommend!

HEATHER was extremely knowledgeable about cheesemaking, shared her passion and expertise. Her classes are fit for all levels from beginners to connoisseur. A definite must for those seeking an afternoon adventure. We will be back!!

My two daughters and I had a great weekend .

I wanted to share some love to the most wonderful vacation I’ve ever had!We decided to book the cottage at Sweetwood Farm from July 3-7th in Blockhouse, NS (right near Mahone Bay)! We spent the week relaxing on the farm, being in nature, enjoying the hot tub, and having an incredible time.The cottage itself was cozy and beautiful. I felt comfortable right away! Considering how much it rained the first 48 hours of our trip, I was so thankful that the cottage was as peaceful and homey as it was.Heather, our host, was so kind and welcoming. We purchased several add-ons to enhance our visit and they were so worth-it! We ordered two breakfast baskets, a charcuterie board, and a 2-hour cheese-making class. I cannot tell you enough how much more special these add-ons made our trip! Heather is a fantastic cook.The cheese-making class was as fun as it was informative. We learned so much about making cheese and got to keep our own hand-made feta cheese as well as learn how to make more at home.There was something so magical about this trip. I would live on this farm if I could! I would recommend this experience to anyone who loves animals, being out in nature, and who wants to get away from city life for a while.We just arrived back to Halifax and I’m already missing Heather and the farm animals, especially the adorable goats. Thank you Heather!
