Bought a car from an elderly lady that that had receipts for regular maintenance from Bob's. His prices were a quite a bit less than that Lube place, and I could tell he did a good job, so I kept him in mind as I was looking for a new mechanic. When BCAA came to give me a jump, he asked in conversation who my mechanic was and I mentioned I would be going to Bob's. He indicated that he thought he was a good mechanic. Bob's is busy, but I thought worth the wait and he did accommodate me.

I am very satisfied with Bob's Repairs. Very honest service. Does the work well and hasn't suggested up selling me yet even though my truck is pretty old. I trust this shop and their recommendations.

I called last week and talked to the guy in charge, presumably Bob. I asked him how much it would cost me to recharge my A/C. He said it starts at $65 and goes up from there if any parts needs replacing. I then clarified that if all my car needed was fluid, I'd be paying $65 and he said yes. Fast forward to this morning, I drop my car off and receive a phone call from him two hours later telling me that nothing is wrong with the system and the bill would be $150 to recharge the system. When I confronted him, he said that it didn't work that way. Even though he'd told me a week previous that the fluid would be included in the $65, that it was not actually included. If I had known that prior, I never would have taken my car there. I told him not to touch my car and I picked it up. I then took it to James at Abby Mac Auto Marine on the corner of Ware street and South Fraser Way. He charged me $60. Be careful getting your vehicle repaired here. He told me one price over the phone and then more than doubled it after I brought my car in. Save yourself some time and money and take your vehicle elsewhere.

I brought them my 78 nova. Other mechanics declined the work because they didn't know how to work on classic cars, but Bob and his son did an amazing job. They were personable, and up front with their pricing. Ive also brought them my wife's jeep that needed a lot of work. they spent 2 days on it and I couldn't be happier with the result. I would refer them to my friends and family

We wanted to buy a camper van for our long road trip to Panama. We wanted to be sure that everything was running perfectly, so we took it to Bob's repair. He took a look at it and said everything was alright (except the tires and something with the steering wheel). So we bought it. Now, after a month, we've already changed the gas filter (it didn't have the right one), the alternator, the battery, the carburetor, fixed the ignition and fixed three or four leakings in the engine (which had since the first day). So far, we've spent more money on repairs than on the van itself, and it's killing our travel budget. All the repairs we've done on the way (except for the alternator and battery, maybe) could be seen with a quick look at the engine, which Bob was supposed to do. In conclusion, think twice before taking your vehicle here unless you really know what your vehicle needs. I don't know how good a mechanic is when fixing stuff, but when it comes to inspections... i don't know if simply he didn't look where he was supposed to our he didn't know what to look at.

I've used Bob for over 25 years. He only does what needs doing. He never rips a person off. He is an amazing trouble shooter. I've never seen him stumped on an issue. He has been training his son to one day take over.It's like going to that one doctor or dentist that you trust. Highly recommend.

Installed unnecessary parts which didn't rectify the problem, upon inquiry about having to pay for extra things the car didn't need, Bob yelled at my friend in front of customers and told her don't come back".Not recommended

If you are looking for great customer service and the best value for money in Abbotsford Bob's Repairs is the place to go! Its hard to find a good mechanic (trustworthy) but Bob is as honest and fair as they get. Will definitely be using again if I have any car issues.
