Their insurance service is incredible slow and awful.I had provided every single document for purchase protection plan and clearly explain repair estimate is not applicable.Every single item is explained.After two weeks they got back to me saying upload the repair estimate.I worked with RBC insurance and Alianze insurance in the past. Within two days the items were processed and nothing were asked.I spent a lot of time explaining every thing in the document and told them why repair quote is not applicable.They didn't even read it. After two weeks sent it back saying insufficient information.Allianz was great as well as RBC processed it in two days not two weeks. Don't go to them.Please process my payment ASAP.So annoying

Same as everyone else. I'm at 1h and 5 minutes and still waiting on the phone. This is the 6th time calling. Each time I've had to hang up because of the wait. I've submitted all my documents, yet they continue to say it's incomplete. This coverage is through TD Visa. Not sure who to blame more, TD or Global Excel. I'll try complaining through TD Visa and see how that goes. Everyone should file a complaint under the BBB. I just did.

The worst service I ever dealt with.Our flights got cancelled and trip was delayed for over 30 hours beyond the airlines control.Out of our two claims:1) They lost ALL documentation and receipts online, all submitted was disappeared somehow.2) Second claim has been pending for way over 6 months.None of the reps have any idea why it really is pending.Add the awful, awful hold music that goes on for hours - something these companies purposely do to deter people from even calling.

Two months ago my wife's baggage was delayed. Today we received a letter that they want proof of the time that the luggage arrived at the hotel in Vienna. When my wife was at the hotel they told her that they do not receive a ticket noting the time the baggage was dropped off. They have my wifes boarding pass, the delayed luggage report, and they should know that there is only 1 flight a day from Toronto to Vienna. My wife's bag arrived more than 24 hours after she arrived. This company is difficult to reach. Twice in 2 days I have been on hold for 45 minutes and just hung up as no one takes the call but you receive a message about high call volume. I contacted visa and launched a formal complaint. It appears to me that they do not want to pay out legitimate claims. My wife needed a pair of shoes, underwear and toiletries. Less than 300$

Worst travel insurance!!!!!! It’s been a year and my claim is still pending. Please do not purchase anything from this company! I’m waiting for $583 claim for more than a year already, If they can’t pay a very small amount, how much more for those claiming thousands? This company doesn’t deserve even 1 star…

OMG! 3 months (so far) of fighting with them (they're Manulife's 3rd party processor) to honour their trip cancellation policy. Simple, straightforward claim. Dozens of phone calls, emails, & they still can't get it right. Frankly, it's apparent to me that it's an intentional effort to avoid paying. DON'T EVER USE MANULIFE for anything.

Same as everyone else here. Had to cancel a trip due to an infection. Didn't realize MEDOC johnson travel insurance is actually a global excel claim. Website is frustrating. Once you submit a claim you get a single email acknowledging it, no claim number and no way to follow up. I had all but given up on the claim and was preparing for a legal fight when out of the blue 7 months later received an email transfer for my original claim total. No explanation, no claim documentation, no other correspondence. While I'm thrilled to have recovered my money their communications are woefully poor.

Global Excel is one of the worst insurance companies when it comes to travel cancellation claims.I had claimed for travel cancellation last November, but until now I have not received any resolution on my claim.If your credit card company has hired this company as their insurance company, good luck!!

Global excel sets new records when it comes to claim processing times. Expect to wait at minimum 6 months. And that was with constant phone calls on a weekly basis to get updates on claim status. They should be embarrassed to call themselves a Canadian company. Not sure why the banks still use them to facilitate claims given all the complaints about them. Sure claims get paid out in the end if they are valid, but the delay in doing so is absurd.

Negative ten stars.Absolutely abysmal company. Their website and android app don't work, their staff are untrained, and it seems as though they have no intention of processing the small travel claims I have. Johnson Insurance should drop them like a hot potato and be embarrassed to have every engaged them. Seems like I'll have to go a legal route to get this settled. They'll probably pay their lawyers more for an hour's work than they would have if they'd just fix their website and allow file uploads to process the claims.Disgusting.
