Great ferry service. My advice, secure a cabin way in advance, arrive early for the lineup and enjoy the ride.

The 7-hr day ferry we took in early June was nice, but MA needs to invest in high speed internet! Dinner/Lunch was pretty good ($65 CAD total) - we had the Chicken Roast & some basic Cod & Chips (sweet potato fries) with optional curry sauce. The weather seemed average but the boat bobbed around the water a bit - tough to walk but neither of us got nauseous. Since WiFi was non-existent, we played games we brought & read books.

Great experience. All the staff are very friendly. Getting our boarding passes and boarding the ferry was made easy by all the workers there. Loved our Ferry ride to Nova Scotia!

Updated review for 2022. I updated this review as I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service this year, it felt like old times. The staff was friendly, and the food was great. One of our ferry crossings was canceled due to a hurricane in September, and they were able to get us on the next ferry 12 hours later. They kept us up to date frequently with email messages.

Nice experience. But long wait for commercial truck drivers(10-20 hrs). Petro-pass card holders should try to fill up from petro pass north sydney as there no petro pumps in Newfoundland. Tim and Subway accessible 24/7 at the terminal. Cabins available in ferry for individuals.

Smooth sailings! The wifi wasn't quite good at all really which definitely takes it down a notch especially for a long ferry ride such as this one

We used the ferry MA Vision from North Sydney to Port aux basques . The ferry was on time. To get on or off the ferry was easy with the staff guidance. We used the ferry at night and slept on lounge chairs. It was ok but it's not like a bed. The deck 6 (lounge) was getting cool near 4 am. Overall, it was a nice crossing.
