I always enjoy the ferry ride from Deer Island to Campobello and back. I've even spotted a whale en-route. The ferry is generally pretty close to schedule; at times in peak tourist season it can get a little backed up with the loading and unloading of vehicles. It's a paid service each way so be prepared. They do have Debit on board that is usually not a problem but sometimes WI-FI can be problematic so it's always good to have cash on hand. There are no reservations so you need to be aware it is first come first served. The ferry isn't large; it can handle about 14-15 vehicles.

The Lord family does a phenomenal job running the ferry service to Campobello. If you are looking for a unique experience and the chance to see finback and minkie whales, take a run on East Coast Ferries from Deer Island to Campobello.
