District Hair Lounge

I’ve been coming to Mickey for years and I have never been disappointed. He gives an incredible haircut and colour. He really cares that his clients are happy. He starts by really listening to what you want and then knows how to achieve the best result. His new studio District Hair Lounge is so comfortable and everyone is always so warm, friendly and welcoming, making it a really enjoyable experience.

This hair salon is like no other I have been to! I highly recommend it if you are looking to change hair stylists, are in the Thornhill Woods area for a short time and need your hair done for whatever reason, or just need a pick me up!I am not from the area, but I am thinking of permanently switching hair salons. The interior of this hair lounge was absolutely picturesque! One side of their lounge was brick wall and the other was hardwood wall. The way the location was set up made me feel like I was walking into a very welcoming and fancy spot! The atmosphere was just as wonderful! I felt right at home with the greetings I received from each of their staff, whom also each had wonderful senses of humour. The staff also offered me an espresso, latte, tea, water...etc. while I waited for my appointment. I felt like royalty, and that was just the beginning!I went for a wash and blow dry, but the owner Mickey took the time to also give me a cut that better suited me. This meant more than words can express, since I struggle with severe mental health. I have never had anyone explain to me in detail before why the hair style I walked in with did not match with my face shape. He made me feel so validated and seen! I struggle immensely with my image, so the fact that this man went above and beyond for me brought me to tears of joy during my appointment. Not only did I receive a nice and relaxing wash by Mickey's daughter, but I was also given a therapeutic hair cut & styling by a wonderful man. To walk into a place I thought was just a nice hair salon that was convenient for me to attend, without checking out their website, it was one of the best surprises I had ever walked into. I am looking at myself in a different way with my new hair style and so appreciative I met a man such as Mickey who did more for me than he probably is aware of.Again, I strongly recommend giving this place a try! You will not regret it!

Fabulous Hair Lounge!!! From the moment I walked in I felt so welcomed by the very friendly staff! My haircut (by Mickey), styling and color have been done expertly and with great care by the very competent staff.Mickey the owner is a master" in his craft! I've been a regular client of District Hair since it opened several months ago.I recommend this Salon and give it high honors!!"

Victoria was great! She listened to what I wanted and delivered on the vision I had for my hair. She was attentive and personable :) The owner prepared a super-delicious Americano for me. It was the perfect compliment to my cut experience! Also.. the salon decor and ambiance is very cool! I will be back!

First time i’ve been happy with my hair after coming out of the salon! I’m always super unhappy with my haircuts from others places (until my hair grows back), but District Hair Lounge does it the best! Sydney and Mickey are the best and will not disappoint!

Victoria was extremely welcoming made feel 100% comfortable and helped guiding me with what I wanted for my hair. She kept me involved with the whole process and truly gave me a spectacular result that I Love! Will be coming back! Super happy

I have seen Mickey, Ashley and Victoria and they are all fantastic stylists! They are professional and artists at their craft . Every time I walk out of the salon I feel beautiful and I get compliments on my hair. The entire team is friendly and amazing, I would highly recommend District to anyone!!!!

This was my first time coming the salon and I am amazed by Mickey’s work. He’s a master at what he does and he completely transformed my hair. I cannot be any happier. The team is incredibly kind, accommodating and will make sure you’re satisfied before walking out of the salon. I will 100% be coming back.
