Steve helped me to get a new walker and my husband to get his new wheelchair for a second time. Steve is awesome to work with. He is very knowledgeable, knows his products and what works best for your healthcare needs. He makes sure that you are completely satisfied with your products. Steve MacLean from NSM arrived from the Port Coquitlam office on time at our local park with a selection of power wheelchairs and scooters for me to try out. I was able to ride them all over paving, grass and gravel so made my selection, no hard sell. When my wheelchair was delivered Steve arrived with my occupational therapist and made sure I was competent in the wheelchair operation before he left. The whole experience was very professional - five stars well and truly earned! I highly recommend NSM and Steve MacLean, I will go there again for my future mobility needs.

The service there is excellent, very attentive to our needs with a wheelchair we brought in for a repair. They made the wheelchair safer, fixed the problem, explained everything and provided a quote and options in a timely manner. Aimee & Daniel were very helpful.

I can honestly say I have never been treated worse. I do not recommend this company. I am wheelchair-bound received a wheelchair from them three months ago the tire is flat. I am very disappointed they are under a two-year contract for repairs. Yet they are leaving me high and dry with a flat tire. Also for months I have been calling them About the raised toilet seat I received from them which two pieces snapped off of and fell into the toilet. I weigh 120 pounds there is no reason other than the product is malfunctioned and they are doing nothing to repair it. Attached are photos of the broken toilet and the flat tire leaving me a prisoner in my own home I am truly blown away at how poorly I am being treated.

I needed a wheelchair and so my OT arranged for Steve to come and show me a couple of models and to test drive them so that we could choose the best option possible. He was so respectful, polite and kind. At no time or are there any high pressure sales tactics used. He came out a second time to help me determine what type of cushioning would be necessary. He was super helpful with getting written estimates so I could secure funding and once I had funding, he arrange for direct billing to my extended insurance so that I never saw bill. He came back a third time with my OT to deliver my chair and to make the final adjustments so that I would be comfortable. I have every confidence that the Quantum 6 power chair will serve me well for years to come. I would highly recommend Steve and his company to anybody who needs a mobility aide. He really cares about the clients he serves which is evident in the way that he treats them. We are very lucky to have a business like this serving the disabled community in the Tri-Cities. Thank you Steve for everything you did. I am very grateful!June 8, 2022: My joystick arm got loose, making it impossible to drive. I called them about it at 8:50am & they had a tech here to fix it for me at 11:30am. This is exceptional customer service I’ve come to expect from them. They are THE BEST!!

A bad stroke sent my 97-year-old mother first to hospital and then to the Queen's Park Care Centre. She had difficulty moving her arms and legs, and couldn't walk.She needed a wheelchair, and Luke from SelfCare was an engaging, kind detective as he worked with her and Queen's Park staff to find exactly the right kind of chair for her. He ended up building two demo chairs for her. The first chair he built was low to the ground, with the idea that she might be able to propel herself using her feet. When she didn't have enough strength in her legs to do this, he built a second chair that met her needs better (higher, easier tilt). He also loaned her two different specialized cushions to try to prevent her slipping out of the chair (she had a bad slouch) and to protect her delicate skin.I hadn't realized that wheelchairs come with so many options to fit users with different needs. I now realize that the right chair is crucial for comfort and function. Users spend all of their out-of-bed time in their chair, so it's crucial that it fits their body perfectly. I was very impressed with the time Luke took to meet my mother's needs, with how carefully and gently he listened, and with his willingness to try yet another option when some aspect of the chair turned out not to work well.SelfCare was also generous in terms of money. A well-fitted specialized wheelchair is a major purchase. SelfCare didn't charge for her use of the two demo chairs, and when my mother died unexpectedly after several months of experimentation, they only charged the initial deposit for all of their time and her use of their chairs.From our experience, I don't think that you could find a better company to fit you or your family member with a wheelchair.

I can't say enough good stuff about this location. They were so helpful with my uncle's cancer and helping me take him walkers to test out because he was too unwell. They made a difficult and stressful situation much simplier.

When my dad was placed in a interim long term care bed at a moment's notice and needed a wheelchair, I was glad I called NSM. Aimee was professional and prompt in communicating with me and within a couple of days I was able to pick up the chair. She even followed up to make everything was satisfactory. Highly recommended!
