I’ve only been with Urbanfibre for a short time but I have got to say their service has been great both from a team perspective as well as from the technical side of things. The price is also just right for my home internet - and even remote work - needs. I’ll definitely be looking out for buildings they provide service to in the future in the hopes of staying on with them! Thanks for everything!

Unbeatable Service Provider. They have their own physical lines instead of being bandwidth reseller. As for the connection: Latency is good as telus, while having superior speed and stability, one of the few authentic symmetric gibabit FTTH in lower mainland (the other being Novus, service is as good but slightly more costly).To those who simply complain about the speed: the truth is a megabit router can not handle a gigabit connection, this may be the problem bothers you. Buy some router with ACXXXX in model name.

One of the best(if not the only) ISP in lower mainland for those who prefer to set up the home network themselves.Their residential plan is simply straight forward: you pay for the 2 public IP they assign, as well as the using of a multi mode optic-RJ45 media converter, without any bandwidth restriction, throttling or privacy disclosure. They cut the cost by not providing a gateway, however on the other hand you have the liberty of using your own.Support is a small but still very productive: one of the quickest response, and solid networking / telecomm background. You will need a bit of those knowledge should you wish to understand what the issues is.The connection never drops since i became their client. The speed may drop from 920Mbps to 420Mbps. It is totally understandable since your bandwidth isn't dedicated.I dont think any other ISP, other than FiberStream in Ontario, is able to rival offer if you are telling them UrbanComm wired your building.

Not sure about these other reviews but I live in Lougheed Village and my 100mbps has been amazing. Always running higher than the 100. I do have my own modem.I would recommend going with the 100 if available in your area. It's very reliable and Gigabit is quite unnecessary unless you really require it but I would say you probably dont.

Best internet in the lower mainland. Same price as Shaw or telus but 10x as fast and they don't try to sell you random garbage all the time. Setup takes seconds (literally) and every time I've talked to a rep they're super nice and very helpful. Also internet has gone down once in two and a half years for me. And only for half hour (due to construction)

Absolute shocking service. The worst decision my building made by switching over. No customer support . It’s a one man operation . No it actually is a one man operation . I have clocked speeds at 2 Mbps several nights in a row. We have the gigabit connection . They blamed the router supplied as the problem. They switched out the router, no difference. Avoid at all costs. Don’t be tempted by the low cost. I would gladly go back to the 50 Mbps connection we had with Telus.This is a joke of an organization. Do not even think of getting support. Forget about configuring you router you can’t even set your WiFi ID and password

I don't think this company has any staff; been leaving several voice messages for about a week to customers service and sales and nobody's called me back yet. This is crazy, I'm just going to sign up with their competitor! Goodbye Urban Fibre!
