I would never recommend this cie to anyoneThey are just there to take your money and there is no service ! I had to ask twice for them to come and shovel the snow! First time was told they don’t come if less then 5 cm of snow fall. The second time I had to tell them that I was unsatisfied by their service and suddenly Had someone come and clean the garage entry …They don’t tell you when they come or if they come…The job when done at last was not impressive.Will not continue with this cieI rarely write commentaries but for this cie , I had to, so the customers are aware what they are paying for … absolutely NOTHING

We hired Ecogreen Landscape Tree Services to remove stump/roots of a maple tree and to remove some wild cedars with stump/roots. The length of their visit was 7 hours. 1.5 hours took to fix their disposal shredding machine and additional 2 hours owner was sleeping in his truck.Additionally, Ecogreen sold weed removal and additional pine tree removal services to two of our neighbors. After few days rain cleared all the mess from the removal and exposed all cedar’s stumps and roots as they were never removed properly, so is my neighbors from the pine tree. When I called the number, Martin, the owner advised that all was done as per “industry standards” and refused to come out and finish the job. Even added some threats. Great job! Stay away from this company.

Update: July 10, 2018I just had a major limb crack and split from the trunk above my shed and fence. It caught on another tree which was the only thing preventing it from falling on a car behind the fence. Ecogreen sent out an emergency crew immediately and was there within hours of the call. Tree was extremely high risk to the guys working on it as the limb weighed several hundred pounds and any mistakes could have caused major damage or injury. I was lucky enough that the tree caught the other tree and didn't fall in the first place but if it fell while being cut down it would have been even more painful! The crew sorted it out and for the second time left zero clean up behind. Great work, great price and very thankful to be taken care of that well by two different crews on two separate occasions!Previous review: Feb. 2017I had an extremely dangerous situation where large limbs of my trees broke off in a recent storm and were hanging over cars and my neighbours patio. Martin and his team came immediately and not only took care of the hazard but took care of cleaning up the trees so as to prevent any future issues. They gave me a lot of info on the trees and the best ways to take care of them as well as what to watch out for. They worked very hard for five hours and left no mess at all... great price compared to competitors who tried to get me to have work done that I didn't need done.

I hired Martin Lafleur, owner of EcoGreen Landscape & Tree Service. I must say, I was extremely impressed with their service removing a dangerous tree over my garage. Their fee was also the best of three quotes received. I highly recommend them if your looking for a professional arborist.

Martin and EcoGreen were very responsive to the many landscaping issues requiring attention on our property. He is extremely knowledgeable about landscape issues and tree care. He took time to review our property and make very helpful suggestions. His team were very responsive, respectful and did a superb clean-up - much, much better than expected. The cost was very fair. I do not hestitate to recommend EcoGreen for anyone needing tree services or landscape services.

I saw EcoGreen cutting branches over the roof of a house down the street so asked them to provide me a quote. They came the week after and Martin and his crew did an excellent job removing branches that have been swaying very heavily during the last few years during the wind warnings and were at risk of breaking over the roof of our house and the driveway of our neighbours. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up thoroughly despite the snow on the ground and were very friendly, open and up front. Thank you both

If you are looking to hire Martin and his crew to cut down a tree or a limb of a tree I am sure they can do an OK job. However, please do yourself a favour and stay away from him if you need any kind of landscaping job done other than above.I will only stick to the main points here. We hired Martin to plant several trees for us. He first of all criticized (extensively) the work of the other contractor who planted several trees and said that they need to be re-planted as they are planted too low and are still in the wire baskets. When two of these trees did not survive the winter we had to dug them out: they were still in wire baskets and planted very low (less than 2 feet).Then a large sugar maple tree that Martin planted has not made it (a few leaves came out then shrivelled up). After several weeks of trying to contact Martin, he finally picked up the phone. He blamed us for the tree dying (we didn't water it according to him) and said he stopped by and spoke to someone in our house (?) about it. Interestingly, two other trees planted close to the dead one are thriving, the grass there is lush, and we reviewed our cameras: Martin was never here from at least March.He then told us he will replant the tree (which cost $600--we have the receipt) if the nursery will replace it for him for free. He wanted to charge us $1000 to replace the tree that he planted this fall (9 months ago) which is now dead. His warranty he told us only covers the tree but not the planting.Of note, when this large tree was brought in for planting last fall, it was left in the wire basket for four days: the crew had to suddenly leave at 3:30 pm before a long weekend. When we asked Martin about it then, he told us that someone will be coming by to water the tree. It never happened as apparently they were not available". We were unfortunately away that weekend.So please review the facts above and make the decision for yourself whether you want to deal with Martin and your company."

I received a notice from the city to remove a tree in my front yard. I called Eco Green first as a friend of mine had work done by them in the summer and was happy with the work they did. Martin stopped by later that evening and gave me an estimate for the removal. He took a look around the rest of my property and noticed some branches that were a potential hazard to falling on my home. He was able to give me a package deal on everything. The Eco Green team did a very professional job removing the tree and overhanging branches. I am very happy and impressed with the work done by Eco Green. Thanks.

I hired EcoGreen Landscape to complete some emergency tree work and I was extremely satisfied with their prompt and professional service. A tree came down from high winds, and was dangerously hanging over my house. EcoGreen immediately attended and offered a fair price for a much needed risky job. Their attention to detail resulted in me hiring them again to trim my hedges and take down another tree that was at risk it causing trouble. Hire this company.John W. - Thornhill
