Back from a short trip and I find Maja has new owners. This was one of the best Indian food places I have been to, but that is no longer the case. Food now lacks flavor, bland and not spicy. Gone weekly for years, I won't be going back. Unfortunate

June 5 2023:I don’t know if there are new owners to this restaurant but it’s gone down hill. I’ve been ordering from this restaurant for many years and it was excellent, until around May 2023 when I noticed big changes in the flavour and quality of their food. Today I bit into a small nail in my naan. Will not be returning.

Amazing food I just loved it. Also quantity is so much that a person like me can eat it for 2 times. I took a meat thali which was 13$ + tax, it was good specially the naan they give in it. Only the lamb keema was but smelly so if you don’t like lamb smell opt for the other 3 chicken options they are all good. Would visit again

As the consulate General of India is upstairs, this buffet style walk-up establishment offers efficient authentic Indian cuisine both a-la-carte and thalis. The pictured Veg Thali comes with Salad, Rice, Protein (I chose Dal Makhani- one of three choices) & 2 Veg (I chose the curried Pakora and potatoes), all accompanied by freshly baked Naan. One can dine in with plenty of table spaces available or take out. Staff are focused in quick deliveries and the prices are reasonable.

I've been there for the first time since last one year. An underrated place in this area. Tried Samosas and Mango Lassi. It was delicious and just in very reasonable prices as compared to Brampton or Mississauga. A lot of menu items for vegetarians and no vegetarians, kids and seniors. Not only Indians visit this place, I saw people of various ethnicities came here to eat and take out. Definitely recommend to visit, :)

Visited in 2017 and my 1st bite made me say WOW. Visited again today and I must say the taste and quality is still the same. Ordered the meat thaali which gives you an option of selecting one veg dish and 2 meat dishes which is served with rice, BIG nan and salad. I went for spicy chicken tikka masala( order only if you can handle spicy), lamb curry, and yellow lentils.It’s more like a take out place so don’t expect great customer service. Visit this place for good quality Indian taste.Quantity and Quality - 10/10 (you can actually have 2 nans with the amount of gravy they give you)Taste - 10/10Service- you will get your ordered served to you within minutes, Nan is made fresh in front of you.Pricing- Really reasonable ( they havnt increased their prices even though everything is getting expensive)

Paid 15$ for this trash. Literally has no flavor. Butter chicken is super greesy and does not taste like butter chicken at all. Tika masala is too spicy and full of greese as well.Staff are rude people and I'll never come back to this place again.

I went back as per my previous review and thought that there is some improvement with the food. Still some work to be done but all in all I was satisfied.Didn't get the Naan just curry and butter chicken so maybe next time I will.

Great place.Been visiting for years at their previous location on Church St and now here on Bloor St.Gave a 4 star review for food because I've gone there twice during the lunch hour, in the past month (new owners) and the Naan seems to be already prepared so it's hard and dry to eat.The lamb curry and chicken biryani have lost their flavors.I get take out for my family of 3 people so spend over $50 per visit.I will give Maja another try in a couple of weeks and hopefully it's better.
