St Jacobs is always an interesting place to visit. There are interesting shops and lots of delicious foods. We had visited the Stone Crock Resturant many years ago but it was our fist time at Jacob''s Grill. Although expensive, the food, atmosphere and Service were excellent. It was an enjoyable afternoon getaway. To top the experience was a visit to their bakery. I had the most amazing dutch apple pie. Would definitely go back especially for the desserts. Thank you Jacob's Grill for a delicious afternoon.

It is a VERY cute spot with great decor and they had fun retro tunes playing. This business is clearly looking to bilk any visitors; the food is both over-priced and minuscule in portion. We spent $60 for two people and we left hungry. The chili is $15 for perhaps one ladle. It came as cold as Kanye’s divorce lawyer. The schnitzel was pretty good but dry-ish (like a stand-up comic who has lost her place in the sun) and served on a micro-bun. Both dishes together could not feed a Dickensian waif.

We decided to walk downtown St. Jacobs to grab supper following a family celebration in St. Jacobs. We were seared promptly and our server was great. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer (forgot to take a picture). It was tasty, but the amount of actual dip was quite small for the amount of dippablea that came with it. And for four of us sharing, we would have needed two. Our main dishes were good. I had Steak Frites with poutine and asparagus. It was all a bit salty. The poutine was kind of dry. I like a lot more gravy and cheese curds than were on it. My son ordered the smoked pork chop with apple compote and scalloped potatoes. It was probably the best dish. The pork was well cooked and moist, the compote was not overly sweet, and the potatoes were very tasty. My son's girlfriend had a burger (can't recall the name). It was good, but did not hold together very well. She also had poutine, and it was dry. For a first experience with poutine, it was very underwhelming. My daughter ordered fettuccine with pesto alfrdo sauce add chicken and a side of cheesy garlic bread. The pasta dish was fine, but, as she stated it was the least garlicky garlic bread she'd ever had. For the prices paid, I would have expected better overall quality.

This place was great, we went there for lunch and dinner in the same day. The daily special is reasonably priced and they make an excellent roasted red pepper chicken soup. The spicy shrimp chorizo fettuccine was not too hot, and well-seasoned. Additionally service was always on the ball! I would heartily recommend

Sadly missing Stone Crock but thought my husband and I would checkout the new place. We had lunch today, it was great but please asked them not to put salt on the French fries. My mouth was burning and tummy too. Large portions of fish and very good otherwise. Some staff from Stone Crock work there! Lovely to see then again! Our server was great too!

I had a simple meal of schnitzel, German potatoes salad and sauerkraut. My kids had personal pizzas. My meal took me back to being a kid in Germany. I quite enjoyed my food. Came out piping hot and fresh. Once lunch was done off to the bakery for some goodies!! Go get some lunch or dinner!! Enjoy.

My wife ordered the crispy chicken wrap. Waaayyyyy too salty! Had trouble eating one half of the wrap. Left the other half on the plate. Advised server that this was not edible. She apologized and offered another wrap...right...with a little saliva surprise? No thanks. Still paid the full price though. I had the pulled pork toasty. Left half of it there as it was too salty as well. The iced tea was good. We do not recommend this place.

We went there during St Jacob sparkles weekend. Was busy but we didn’t have a long wait for a table and staff was very attentive. We had the soup of the day (Thai squash) that was excellent. We followed up with the schnitzel dinner and a schnitzel sandwich. Both were good. Great location right on Main Street and is connected to a cheese and meat shop that also sells beer and wine. Next door to that is a charcuterie bar. Great town to spend time in.
