Shoppers Drug Mart

i have had multiple bad experiences with the pharmacy here. i have had to wait over an hour on more than one occasion for a single prescription. do not go here for the pharmacy!

The retail staff is friendly and helpful, and the store is open long hours.Unfortunately the pharmacy is chronically disorganized, slow, does not have medication ready at the time they promise, fails to fill complete prescriptions, and requires multiple visits in order to provide the meds if you have more than one scrip.Over the course of many visits, I’ve experienced much longer wait times than any other pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with, have had the pharmacist try to give me only some of the medications that they had prepared, and generally have had very poor experiences.Even thought the hours and location are extremely convenient for me, I’ve moved all of my prescriptions to pharmacy that is further away and has shorter hours, because I’m no longer willing to tolerate the constant disorganization, confusion, and mistakes.

I like this place not only do I get methadone here plus my other few prescriptions are filled here. They went and built a whole new store since I started going to Shoppers. The pharmacist that I've met through this Shoppers has always asked the right questions at the right times I have found. I will have to move shortly I so hope I can still use this pharmacy. Any staff I've encountered here is always nice and polite. Willing to help you at any time. Yes outta all the Shopper's I have dealt with. None compare to the service and friendliness of this store.

I found it challenging to find a pharmacy nearby that does allergy shots. Luckily this is one of the few that does! All the pharmacists have been lovely. I don't handle needles very well but their technique is exceptional. The staff are pleasant and helpful, which is why I transferred all of my prescriptions here from another Shopper's pharmacy; my prior pharmacy was staffed by people who always seemed miserable (and I don't necessarily blame them for that, it's a busy location). Thank you for all the good work you do!

First & last experience at this pharmacy. Went there for a medication that involved an intramuscular injection. The head pharmacist administered the IM incorrectly. You are supposed to poke the needle into the muscle quickly- as to not cause pain (like they do for a vaccine for example). She put it into the skin slowly- painfully. She also yelled out to get my attention. “Im getting your injection ready!” In front of tons of people. Injection administration and confidentially are basic concepts in the health care field. Looks like there are multiple poor reviews for this pharmacy already- and it just opened. Shoppers- please follow up with this location.

Don't ever go to pharmacy on a Sunday evening! After answering the only other person at the pharmacy 100th question he still acknowledge me and then went on the phone while I stood there like I was invisible. I usually have a good experience but not today.

Shoppers - Capillano is such a clean & nice store! I had to refund my foundation today and Sara (beauty specialist) helped me a ton! She even gave me samples & that is so nice!! She's very open with my concerns and though she had a problem with her till she tried her best to make it work. Thank you sara for your help and you are so sweet. :) hope to see you again!

This Shoppers Drug Mart is no longer at this location. The new store is at Capilano mall next to Boston Pizza. This store is very spacious, bright and much more products to choose from.
