This was an Epiphany Mass for my granddaughters pre-K to grade 6 school.The teachers did an amazing job of getting ALL the children into the church and settled in record time.Father did an Amazing job of getting all of the children's attention. He said the mass in a way that the children found it interesting and father had them very involved. I'm sure that the majority of these children will want to go back to another mass.

Our visit to St.Mary's church on Feb 7 was for the baptism of my grandson. With Covid she was only allowed 10 people so only immediate family and Godparents. Very strict with Covid practices and the church that just had mass was cleaned before we entered. Father was very kind even getting a wheelchair for mom as I was going to just sit her on her walker and push it.Covid is tough but grateful for their Covid guideline. Thank you St.Mary's

I was baptized, had my first communion, and was confirmed in this beautiful church, I went to the school next door, St. Thomas, I grew up just a 5 minute walk away... for some reason, 25 years later, I felt the need to search it on the web, and here she is, in all her beauty, and it brings tears to my eyes... so many memories.... what an amazing piece of history for me... makes me homesick... I always felt the lord by my side when I was at mass... I need to go back to Red Deer for nothing else, than to feel that once again...

I love the atmosphere! I don't like how as soon as the last song starts people mingle and chat it up. The people who like to stay til the Mass is over over like me find the atmosphere is wrecked. The prayerful atmosphere is lost. Respect the musicians who put their heart and soul into the music.

We have been going to this church since we moved to Blackfalds a couple of years ago. We use to go to St Albert Parish where our 2 boys were both baptized and we just loved the church so much. We drove 30 mins each way to attend on Sundays from Mill Woods. After moving to Blackfalds we were kind of lost without our church and quickly found St. Mary's Catholic in Red Deer. This is a wonderful church that has some beautiful architecture that adds to an overall pleasing ambience. It has helped us with settling into our new community. Still miss the risen Christ from St. Albert though.
