Chris and his wife own the East City Knife Company on Water Street in Peterborough.They specialize in the sale, maintenance, and repair of Japanese knives.Since moving to the area a year ago, I’ve visited the store several times and always find Chris to be very passionate, very knowledgeable about his craft, whether dealing with me or any other customer in the store.For anyone considering investing in a better knife or wanting to learn more about proper maintenance of good knives, I highly recommend the East City Knife Company.Charlie Stuckey

East City Knife Co is an amazing knife store. The selection of Japanese Kitchen knives and pocket knives is fantastic, as well as having many accessories for sharpening and care. They also carry quality gardening equipment, other kitchen supplies and even hand crafted chopsticks.Not only is the shop beatiful and fun to visit but Chris (the owner) and family are great people who put so much time and energy into their store and services. Chris is a always pleasure to talk to about knives or pretty much anything!I highly recommend you check them out if you live in Peterborough, are just visiting or a knife buff looking for somewhere new to visit.

The owner Chris is a super cool guy. I definitely recommend stopping by to pick up your new kitchen or pocket knife. You can find all the sharpening accessories and stones you could want, or get your gear professionally sharpened at the store!

Top notch. Chris is super knowledgeable, and personable. Offer's classes on knife sharpening. Does in house sharpening. All on top of selling really high quality products. I swear I have to stop myself from spending money in the store because the quality of products is just too good. You literally cannot find some of these things anywhere else. Best part is this guy doesn't charge an arm and a leg for this stuff. You can tell when someone is in it for the love of the game and this place is it.

I have purchased a few knives from East City Knife Co now. The shop has a wonderful variety of Knives and accessories. The only thing sharper than the knives are the owners Chris and Amanda. They’ll be sure to make you feel at home and answer any questions you may have. Great place and will most definitely be back!!

Chris helped me pick the perfect knife that I was looking for. Not really knowing what I wanted, offered me a lot of choices and explained the pros and cons each to make a educated decision. Sharpened my current knife to perfection with quick turn around and when it went in was a genuinely nice guy with such a passion for what he is doing. Also has a selection of axes for both campers and axe throwers alike. Would recommend to anyone looking to purchase a new knife or sharpen an existing.

Chris has incredible customer service skills. I came to him for a knife for my partner, knowing nothing about knives, he recommended a few options for me. He sent me pics and details on the ones that I was interested in. I just picked up the knife and it’s BEAUTIFUL. He also included care instructions and suggested another item to go with the knife that will help with sharpening at home between visits to him.The pics I attached do NOT do this knife justice. It’s gorgeous and super sharp. I know my partner is going to be over the moon with this birthday gift.Thanks so much Chris!Ps. Chris did an amazing job with my chef knife set. The whole process was so easy and fast. I don’t think my knives have ever been this sharp!! My prep sessions are a total breeze now and I highly recommend his services!
