Deep Bay RV Park

this place has been there for around 70 years got its start as a simple fishing village, there is a row of permanent unit along the waterfront, some have been in the same families for generations, there are a couple short term rv spots available for rent by the day or week but they are a little tight for space, there are a few glimpses of the ocean between the permanent units, no wifi, no cell reception, if you know someone that has a permanent unit they may share there wifi with you

Deep Bay is truly one of the most spectacular areas in the world to view a sunset. While sitting in the harbour dining at a local restaurant, or at a picnic table on a inlet you can watch the sun go down over the mountains which are close by. Especially nice is being able to take photos of the sunsetting, or a variety of marine life & birds. Its no secret that this beautiful area right on the coastal island highway....is an adventure waiting to happen. Whenever I am on Vancouver Island Deep Bay is a must visit for us. When the tide is out be sure to look along the sandy shoreline...or the more rocky ones....and discover what kind of seashells you can find. Each time I am there the people have been friendly and informative about their beautiful Deep Bay. If you want to camp there are terrific RV & other camping sites ....be sure to plan in advance.Manitowan, Special K & Shasta

This place is a bit rustic and we loved staying there and hopefully will return one day.Very friendly staff and RVers that stay there for the season.TV - Wifi - Fridge in the kitchen where you can also cook if needed..

Great hospitality and very considerate for us as we arrived pretty late. I lost a ring while doing dishes in the social room, and the caretaker took apart the sink to look for it before we left - he found it! Great staff and great facilities. Would highly recommend.

Unbelievable. It cost 2.00 to get an empty plate to share food. Asked the waitress why and she said it was to cover the dish soap and labour cost. WHAT? That was just too much over top. If l owned the place l would be absolutely embarrassed to do be doing such an insane thing!!!!!!

Great views, atmosphere, community. Friends all around! Walking distance to marina. Everything needed within 0.5hr of park. Great walking trails and other parks close by.

Nice camping if you can get site #3. The rest that don’t have permanent trailers don’t have a view . Toilets, laundry , showers! Nice manager/ owner. Nice people . Great view of ocean, lots of eagles and herons and other wildlife.

The second star is for the view... We were camping and I felt the sites were over priced for what we got. We could all fit in one campsite but with two cars they insisted we get two (that's $60+/night for 4 people and 2 cars). When we didn't use the second site they rented it someone else without telling us. Then they were rude when we told them we didn't want to pay for a site they had re-rented. Also, things missing from the cooking facilities:1) BBQ had no gas @ dinner on Saturday night and the hosts were nowhere to be found.2) Almost no soap for dishes.3) Only knifes in the kitchen were butter knifes and a letter opener (no joke).

We arrived with an RV to find that many of the occupants were Canadians who have been coming to the campground for decades. That was a real plus because these folks were kind, warm and welcoming. It was a community of neighbors instead of a campground of strangers. The setting is lovely and the host and staff were great. We want to return.

First time there, fabulous and helpful staff. Everyone was extremely happy staying there. Perfect for our Albertian family. Thanks for everything.
