Conroy's NOFRILLS Whitby

Greedy Loblaws CEO, Trustaste Milk used to be on sale every Mother's Day and Father's Day for $3.99. Now, it's sold for $6.39 ($5.49 on sale). They want me to believe that's a deal. That's over 150% increase alone on the milk prices while a farmer only requires 8% increase. Suraj Beans and Lentils was sold for $2.97 now $6.99 on special Diwali or Eid events. Robinhood 10 kilogram Flour was sold for $7.97 now it's sold for $16.99 and 19.99 at retail (that's almost 200% increase in flour prices in a country filled with wheat). 3L Unico Vegetable Oil was sold in the recent years at $4.99 (Now at $12.99 on sale with 260% increase). NO Names 12 pack Eggs went from being $1.99 to never being on sale ever again and now sold at $3.67 soon while they're aiming to increase it to $4.19 per pack. That's a 185% increase at best. Absolutely terrible business. No wonder why these guys keep growing while most of us have to starve because we just can't afford their garbage. You are nothing but Walmart's copycatter and gimmicks bringing multi deals that are fake. Nofrills used to be one business who was straight to the point and never tricked people with multi buy deals. Very terrible. Absolutely disgusted with all these grocery companies taking advantage of our needs and wants. People just need to stop shopping and let these businesses down for once. It has to happen. People cannot continue to shop at these ridiculous prices.

Well supplied no frills that is kept relatively clean and organized. Sale items tend to disappear faster than preferred, however, and the plain greek yogurt runs out often.On a side note, I realize inflation is a thing, but let's reduce that greek yogurt back to $5.50 ;) it's a big reason I shop there.

If you live in the Rolling Acres neighborhood, then Conroy's No Frills will most likely be your local grocery store. They always have great deals and their produce section is always decent and about average and their Dollar Day sales are also always amazing, especially if by you're a chocolate milk lover like myself, these days become a way of life lol. There is also a dentist, physio-therapy, pharmacy, variety store and several food choice options from Little Caesars, to indian food to hot plate options S well.

Overall a good store. They have the major staples for a small store which makes it worth coming here. Sometimes they have in-store specials that are great! My only major gripe is that checkout can be pretty slow if they don't have many lanes open on weekends. Since they don't want you going through self checkout with carts, it restricts how quickly people can get in and out.

It's clean for a NO FRILLS. The kids that work there are very pleasant. They usually have what I need. Only complaint is that their vegetables and fruit costs are OFF THE WALL. It's NO FRILLS after all. That's really disappointing as I'm desperate for veggies.I know everywhere is expensive, but I had hoped NO FRILLS would be at least reasonable. Willing to pay increases but the prices I just saw are REALLY out of reach.

Had to return something that I only recognized was not good for consumption after I cut it and it was readily exchanged. Only had to prove that it was bought at that store

I know it has been awhile since the new owners took over this store, however i have to say this location has improved so much from the previous owners. There is no comparison. Firstly the cleanliness of this store is amazing compared to other stores. Secondly the staff are always super helpful if you need help with something. A big shout out to Chris. I can’t imagine me standing on my feet for a full shift and still have the attitude that Chris has and he is so customer focused. I know retail employees have been under a lot of stress these past few years during the pandemic so appreciate them and just say thank you. Otherwise if you don’t have these hard working employees running the store then you don’t get your groceries.

Great medium size store. Everything you need is there. Have a excellent selection of garden plants supplies for the spring and summer planting. At A Good Price!

I've been shopping at this no frills now for a couple of years and noticed there is a high turnover in staff. The onwers are rude to their staff and belittle them calling them names. Does not look like a pleasant work environment to be part of.
