Did our research on which was the most reliable appliance brand for what we wanted. Corbeil had great selection but also best prices in all of the Ottawa area. Delivery guys were great!

Polite, not pushy, knowledgable, personable sales person. Delivery was 2 men, clean, careful, efficient, new machines in and old machine gone. Very happy. We installed the washer and dryer ourselves. No problems.

Bought a Blomberg French door fridge, this isn't against corbeil but more to warn customers about Blombergs fridge, don't waste your money. Buy something else.Have had this fridge for 2 years now, it has been a disappointment. Had work done under warrenty, eveything fixed is broken again. Flaw in the design. Currently this is what is wrong with the fridge in 2 short years. Posting this for people to reconsider purchase. We were told by Corbeil this is a top fo the line product and you will not have issues, hence the cost. Today we wish we spent less money, all our previous cheaper cost fridges we bought before have out lasted this fridge.Current problems with the fridge, and I am afraid to call for service as the warrenty repairs took many visits before correcting the first time. We also bought the oven and dishwasher. The oven was fully replaced under warenty as they couldn't fix the problem. Dishwasher has been without any issue.1. Fridge runs so loud we can't drown out the sound with the TV, we have to unplug it and plug back in to get a few days of quiet before it gets loud again2. The ice maker leaks so you always have a huge block of ice you can't scoop3. There is a wire on pulleys at the back of the freezer that got all tangled up, and constantly have issues opening and closing freezer door.4. The center closure strip on the fridge door, has a badly placed wire that constantly bends and rubs. Recently it broke and shot sparks out at me, had to rewire. But you can tell it will happen again after many use. Bad design5. The closure strip constantly rubs and wears out at the connecting point. This was changed under warrenty and I was told it was due to unlevel fridge. They said they leveled it and replaced closure, this was obviously untrue as it is warn out worst than before they adjusted6. Water dispenser flows very slow, takes a while to fill bottle while holding open fridge door. There is some automatic switch that pinches water pressure.In conclusion, I am very disappointed with the fridge, buy something cheaper, this is not the quality product they described. When I described all the problems with the fridge to corbeil and Blomberg they said sorry it's not under warenty any more, and gave me the number to their paid service department. I am surprised there fridge only last 2 years and they are not surprised by that.

In December 2021 I bought an expensive Blomberg induction range from Corbeil. It was defective and did not work properly from day 1. Distinctive Appliances and another company had to provide the service for it, and I got incorrect information and bad service from them. Corbeil would not replace the stove without Distinctive's approval. Three months later, they reached an agreement and for the replacement stove I decided not to go with Blomberg as I did not trust them, nor Distinctive (and by then I was also loosing confidence in Corbeil). I ordered a GE Cafe instead. I knew it was on back order and that I would have to wait six months or so, but it took almost a year. In the meantime, I had to use the Blomberg and work around the problems with it. Twice last summer, we had a call from out of the blue from Corbeil, saying delivery van was on its way to our house. But when they got here, they were only picking up the Blomberg and did not have the new GE Cafe for delivery. I was told the GE would be available in the new year. I called Corbeil in mid-January and they had the GE Cafe available and guaranteed me 100% delivery for a few days later. No one showed up that day, and no one called. At the end of the day, I called Corbeil and was advised that there were problems with the return paperwork with Distinctive and that their authorization was required. Distinctive had given that authorization last February and I had an email from them to that effect. I asked to speak with a manager of customer service and was told that person would call me back in 24-48 hours, but they never did. I went back to the salesperson for assistance and he worked out everything with the returns department and finally, a few days later my new GE Cafe stove was delivered and the Blomberg lemon was taken away. The salesperson had been very insistent that I had to do a visual inspection of the new stove to make sure there were no scratches etc. and if there were any, I should not accept the delivery and return the stove. But the delivery person did not want to wait while I removed all the styrofoam, plastic, tape etc. which had to be removed to do the visual inspection. He said just check the sides of the stove for scratches. Who cares about the sides of the stove - it is a slide-in with cupboards on either side. I insisted that he wait and he did, and he helped me remove some of the packing. The delivery people will not plug in or move the appliance into place, but he did this as a favour and so that I could make sure the stove fit properly, which was considerate. The only other positive comment I have is that the salespeople seemed to genuinely want to help and resolve the problems for me. The Corbeil processes seem to be broken, however, with too many different people and departments involved and everyone passing on the problem to someone else (and then to Distinctive which was an utter failure). For example, the salesperson told me he did not have a direct, internal line of communication with customer service, and that the data base system the returns and delivery people use is different from the one they use in the store. I am close to 60 and this is absolutely the worst customer experience I have had in my entire adult life. I am never buying anything from Corbeil again, and never buying a Blomberg appliance or any appliance that is represented by Distinctive. No comment on the GE Cafe as we haven't use it much yet, but so far, so good. A couple of people have recommended Universal Appliance to me for future purchases.

I was recently referred to Corbeil by a friend who had a great experience. I went in with my spouse and we purchased a fridge and stove and received what we feel like was a great price, and the process was efficient and seamless. We had shown the price match from a different store, with item numbers, sizing, photos etc. We got delivery within two days, however received a larger version of the fridge than anticipated. At first we thought maybe we measured wrong, however the wrong fridge was sent. After emailing, multiple calls and discussions with the store manager, this is somehow our fault, and to exchange, we will have to pay an additional 570+ dollars. How is this the customers fault? We are honestly just surprised by their response to this. We were more than willing to accept some responsibility and offered to cover the difference in price and shipping. We realize there are procedures, but what happened to taking care of the customer.There was no accountability, and blame was put solely on us. Our initial experience was great, but now we have the wrong sized fridge, which doesn't fit in our kitchen, and we would have to pay a restocking fee" as well as other costs for one that does. Disappointed."

Bought washer, dryer, range, range hood, and fridge at Corbeil.Jonathan Sauve-Theberge was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable, and even after sales he was still liking at my best interest. His price was lower than any other store I checked.Items in stock were delivered on the scheduled date. Range was delivered 3 days before and range hood 2 weeks before planned.Really happy with the purchase and the customer experience. For sure my favourite appliance store.

When the technician came to install my new washer and dryer he discovered that the washing machine hose was too short to reach the taps. So I told him to temporarily switch the position of the washer and dryer, realizing that the doors would interfere with each other but at least I’d be able to get some laundry done in the meantime. I understood that they’d come back with the required length of hose and put the machines in the optimal positions. The salesperson told me to call their service dept., who in turn told me they only install once. Won’t come back even if I paid for a reinstall. Btw, I paid the extra warranty fees but was told this is only if electronics fail. So, this place doesn’t follow through, is inflexible and they aren’t interested in providing the customer with solutions once the sale is made.

My initial experience shopping with Corbeil was great. At the time of purchase I was told I would get a bundling discount and guaranteed the best rate and flexible delivery dates. As my pre-construction got delayed, I was able to change my delivery dates, but the associate in charge of my sales took longer and longer to get back to me in regards to price checks. Due to the change of my finances (in consideration of rising interests), I decided to downgrade one of my appliances. And while it is still the same brand, my bundling discount was revoked and my HST rebate was removed (it was a rebate on 3 appliances, and I only changed one of the appliances to a lower model, same brand). Common sense would assume that I would simply have an adjusted HST rebate to account for the price change of that one appliance, and since it is still the same brand, my bundling discount would remain. But they revoked all discounts without telling me first as if a punishment for the customer in downgrading the appliances. Important to note, the associate did not do his due diligence and explain to me the possible implications of the change of my invoice and whether discounts will be revoked (hence I thought it wouldn’t be, since it is still the same brand). The absolute lack of transparency is disappointing and the fact they revoked the discounts without a meaningful explanation feels like I am being punished, and quite honestly, it felt like a dishonest transaction. I have no choice but to stick with Corbeil due to the non refundable deposit, but they will not have any of my future business nor would I recommend them to anyone due to the lack of transparency and accountability
