This hospital has growing overtime and I am pleased to say that it is done very well in a community and surrounding area. The staff that work here are excellent well trained and experienced professionals. They have a terrific cafeteria for all your dining needs gift shops little kiosks here and there to make your visit more pleasurable they do have a parking garage and off site parking. The overall place has been updated and very trendy

Well organized hospital. Great doctors... emergency is horrible... too too too long waiting time... only one lady at the triage and staff at emergency isn't trained enough to handle all cases... my wife had a miscarriage and was bleeding for four ours waiting her turn at the emergency and eventually we left before our turn comes because she felt better and she insisted on leaving.My advice in case of emergency is to go to Cobourg Hospital... the waiting time there is way shorter

Unfortunately, I had to take my mother into the hospital by ambulance while I was visiting her. The emergency room deserves 5 Stars. They were friendly, they knew what to look for, and they were very informative and helpful to me, as I was worried very much about my mother. The next day my mother was transferred to Observations. My mother had pneumonia. She is also a late-stage dementia patient. The staff in Observations had no idea how to deal with a person with dementia. When I came back before 8 a.m., after her second day in that area the nurse refused to come into the room, refused to check her vitals, refused to even come in and give her her medication. She handed medication to me at the door which I administered to her myself. The doctor came in and dismissed my mother without even checking vitals or anything else, the next day her PSW, while bathing her, found all of the IV needles still intact in my mother's arm. This hospital is a place I would not want to take my dog. Thank goodness I don't live In that area of Canada.

We consistently have great experiences at Lakeridge. The ER department is always on top of prioritizing the needs of our toddler. We've been admitted to pediatrics many times and I have amazingly things to say about the nurses. We also spent a month in the NICU and are forever thankful for the care we received.

This is the worst hospital I have ever been in.There is a shocking apathy toward patient care on the surgical recovery floor.I spent a few days in critical care and the nurses.were amazing. When I was moved to the surgical ward, the nursing was so inept my surgeon sent critical care nurses to check on my progress twice a day.It is scary to know that even the doctors that work in the hospital realize that there is a need for nursing care that falls in between the nurses in critical care and the surgical ward.I checked myself out 2 days early against medical advice.

This visit a 5* rating is completely warranted. I brought my boyfriend to an appointment and although we arrived a bit late, he was called in right away. I observed kind, courteous staff helping direct people who didn't know how to get where they needed to be. Once he returned to meet me in the waiting room, he said the staff was very professional and friendly.

I went because I was in so much pain l couldn't take it anymore. I have had pain for 6 weeks. Been to my family doctor to no avail and the emergency at the Oshawa clinic which was worse. Basically, after waiting for a long time patiently, the resident doctor told me to leave as they have more important cases and don't have time for me. I left in tears. I got a call from my dentist and he took me immediately and discovered that I have an infection from new inplants and it has spread to my neck and ear. Thanks to him l am on antibiotics and other stuff. I have been talking to a lot of people about the Oshawa Hospital and the stories l hear are scary. I wonder how many people have died because of them. No one cares about people anymore at this hospital. Disgraceful.

In the past I would have given a higher rating, I was teetering between one or two. I go there often with my sick daughter and find the service has really gotten worse since the emergency department manager retired. I have been dealing with them for years and it is in a pretty sorry state at the moment. I pray for everyone who has to go through the triage...no fault of the employees it just seems they are running in so many different directions that no one knows what they are doing anymore.

Service & quality of care depends on who's working that day. Some days are great others not so good, but that's like everything these days. They have really stepped up the cleaning & safety protocols since the pandemic.
