Heritage Lawn Care

I have been a Heritage Lawn Care customer for 6 years. They take care of my weekly grass mowing, my annual fertilizer and weed control, and most recently hedge trimming and large tree removal.They are professional, efficient, and the quality of their work is outstanding. I will continue to use them moving forward, and would highly recommend.

These guys are a complete ZERO, and, in my opinion, unethical to boot. They grossly overcharged me for various lawn services, among them the replacement of a cedar hedge. The old hedge had already been removed including stumps; they just had to plant the new trees. I wanted mature trees, not saplings. They quoted me a very high price for that, but I agreed so that we would have instant privacy. When I came home from work, I found that they had given me scrawny little 3-foot saplings that looked a lot like the pathetic little tree in the classic Charlie Brown Christmas Special. For the quadruple digits I paid, that was just outrageous. Their version of customer service was threats, intimidation and dirty pool. BEWARE of these guys.

Just had my front lawn re-sodded by Phil and Stacy. They showed up at the expected time and brought some great looking grass. The work was swift and clean. Very satisfied and will recommend to friends.

Heritage replaced our front lawn and it's beautiful! They did an excellent job and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a local lawn care company. Everyone comments on how great our lawn looks. Courteous and professional team.

The owner Brian sounded like someone I could trust with my home lawn care, but to my frustration I was proved wrong! . With the hot spring weather this year weeds started early, and while I saw other lawn companies out treating weeds in May and saw my weeds starting to take over, I kept calling to ask when they would come out and couldn't reach them/no call back and finally was told they were busy and would come soon. They finally showed up mid June and the technician didn't spray any of the weeds. I gave it a week to make sure, and when no weeds were affected, I called to ask for a reapplication (as all lawn care companies offer). I was rudely denied, told the technician did their job properly, I didn't know what I was talking about,, and I’d have to wait another month for the next scheduled treatment, by which time the originally untreated weeds would be overrunning my lawn.Heritage was supposed to be a smaller family owned company focused on service: clearly they are anything but, just a useless, rude, and unprofessional company. Don’t waste your money, you’ll just be disappointed and frustrated!

Excellent service. All the workers here bright and early. They never stopped for a break and always asked if everything was going the way I wanted it.Phil gave perfect instructions for the care of my new lawn and Stacey and Mike cleaned up the premises. Would recommend Heritage to anyone

Phil and Stacey did a great job this morning transforming my front lawn. Can’t vouch for the quality of the sod yet, but very impressed with the team and their work. Friendly, punctual, and diligent. Recommended.

Look elsewhere. We spent $1,100 for very basic yard work. The job was not completed and they bailed on us midway through, leaving us without a useable backyard.We hired Heritage Lawn for a clean-up of our backyard and sod job. During the consultation, the owner said it was a small job so he could fit us in soon, and mentioned that if we paid cash he could knock off the taxes - we agreed.When the workers arrived (with owner) for the clean-up, they spent 1.5 hours on our property. From a distance, the job seemed to be an improvement to the space. After they left, we took a closer look and were disappointed to find that it looked like a rushed job.After immediately spending 2hours of my own time cleaning up more dead trees, trimming back the hedge further and removing vines, I called the company and asked if they could pick up the additional waste (if they were still in the area). In response, they immediately got defensive and told me that they would not be returning to finish the sod job that we agreed to. I apologized if I had offended them in some way, but the owners response was that “after 31 years in business when customers get ‘nit-picky’ it’s not worth my time”.A follow-up call to the company resulted in no further explanation, except that the services we booked would not be completed.After paying $1100 dollars for yard clean up, I removed 26 bags of additional yard waste myself. This company was unprofessional and I would never recommend them to anyone. A word of caution – get a detailed description on your invoice of work agreed to and if they suggest you pay cash, do so at your own risk because you’ll have no recourse if you get snubbed.

Booked this company last September for end May early June delivery date. Called in April to reconfirm I was on their list and they reconfirmed the end May early June delivery. Called Jun 1st since I never heard from them expecting they'd tell me in the next week. Given the date of 23 Jun which was disappointing. They explained that they were short staffed. I was planning for 23 Jun and asked what time to expect them. Gotta a call back only to be told then the price they quoted last year had changed due to Covid which I thought was reasonable but then they told me they pulled my file and to find someone else for the job. I called back three times and they never returned my call. So I do not consider them professional. A courteous call would have been most appreciated. Thank goodness I did find someone who is coming the week of the 14th and maybe even sooner.

My experience with Heritage Lawn Care Inc, Cedarview Rd, Nepean was not at all satisfactory, in fact it was completely unacceptable. They came in to remove sod and replace it with new sod. 3 weeks later, the lawn was full of crab grass. After leaving a few messages, I was told that someone would come by and check it out. I waited and they never showed. Then, after I called them again, I was told that they could do nothing about the crab grass. They could offer no advice, no solution except that I should remove the crab grass by hand. The fact that they could not even call back (the owner) was more than unprofessional it was just bad business.
