I had just about the worst customer experience in my life at this location (and only this location). Upon greeting to return a product, Phil (the general manager) refused the return stating verbatim “you people can’t just return products without the packaging!”. I asked him to clarify what he meant by “you people”. He stated by people he means customers. So he either has a deep-rooted hatred for customers…or people of color. Not sure. I do know many mechanics in this area happen to share my complexion. And it’s hard to believe he would use this verbiage to a white man with the same transaction. “You people”. It just doesn’t roll off the tongue when it’s a white man.In any case, another worker there was parroting his words then proceeded to tell me to be quiet multiple times as I was stating my side of the story that these parts were not for my car in the first place. Had they given me the right parts I wouldn’t be returning them. She then stated “I just changed my mind”. Implying that I’m lying. When I asked for her first name multiple times she refused to give it to me. Phil had to step in and state her name is Anita which may not even be her name.Neither were wearing a name badge, and neither should be customer facing. They both demonstrated poor customer service and only knew how to make a simple transaction complicated, confrontational, offensive, and racist. They even took a picture of my license plate. When I asked why, Phil stated “in case I cause problems”, when asked to clarify, he would not. I told him that sounded like a threat. He smirked and walked away.Anita is one thing. But this type of experience from the freakin general manager, it reflects poorly on this location and whoever hired the guy. And if I didn’t know better, it would reflect poorly on the entire company.They were so unprofessional, they refused to comply with corporate requesting information over the phone. But that’s okay because this issue will be brought up to the district manager, BBB, and if Im not satisfied this will be taken to the VP, the press, and I will speak with a lawyer in Windsor to pursue this civilly. No way will I let racists get away with this.

Customer service is good. Always very helpful and know what you need.

My daughters and I were caught in the flooding yesterday after going to physiotherapy. We were recently in a car accident, so my daughters were terrified of the heavy rain and how flooded the road was becoming. We pulled into the Carquest parking lot because the road was heavily flooded and the lot was on higher ground than the road so it seemed like a safe place to stop until the rain and flooding subsided. We ended up going into the store because my daughters were afraid. We could not believe how kind and compassionate the staff were towards us. They told us we could stay there until the rain slowed down and even offered my daughters a place to sit and play and a bag of chips! When we decided it was safe to leave, one of the Carquest staff members told us the best roads to take to get home and told us to call him if we got stranded. Thanks from my daughters and I for all your kindness and support yesterday. We really appreciate your kindness. I will definitely shop at Carquest from now on and will recommend them to all my friends and family. Businesses that care not only about making money but also about people deserve to be recognized. Thanks so much to everyone working at Carquest yesterday for your kindness and help!

Great place to buy parts and accessories for your car

Lots of specialty tools for home mechanics and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The store is close to my home, so it's also convenient for me.

Fantastic quick service, employees are very friendly. No need to order ahead either you can just show up and place your order and they'll bring it out to you. Took me 10 minutes to get what I needed, will definitely be going back if I need more parts.
