Parking is truly a joke at Aurora Go Station. Very little chance of finding a parking spot because the company has chosen to promote fee based reservation of parking spots. Hence most of the multi level parking spots are now reserved. Instead of allocating a small percentage of spots for reserved parking, and truly provide parking for its commuters, Go has decided to make most of the parking garage a reserved parking facility.

If you do not arrive before 7am Monday-Friday you will not get a spot to park. The parking garage states that spots are available but there aren’t. So much reserved parking, it’s insane. If you will not commit to a minimum of 6 months, you will not be able to reserve a spot. This has to change. With Aurora growing, GO transit needs to realize they need more parking spots. So many people are illegally parked, because there’s nothing else one can do. Transit is supposed to be the way of the future. Ample parking needs to be the foundation.

Really, just reiterating what's already been said about the parking. When we moved to Aurora less than 5 years ago, one of our deciding factors in choosing a location was the proximity to the train station. At that time, all 5 levels were available and the train was rush hour only. There was some minimal trouble finding parking for the very last train in the morning, but otherwise it wasn't an issue.GO has now extended train service to Aurora, which is wonderful. More trains, available all day and weekends, rather than just the rush hour service. This would be very convenient, except that concurrently to this, they've restricted the parking to a single level and very minimal outdoor parking. I arrive at 6 am and the outdoor parking is full, with just over 100 spots remaining indoors. The remaining spots are filled well before 7 am.In a nutshell: added a day's worth of trains, but have made it nearly impossible for people to access them. This is ridiculous.

The Go transit service provider in York Region and our local governments should be ashamed of themselves. The Go transit service is getting progressively worse and prices are going up.There was a day that the train kept running at 10km/h with expected trip time to reach Toronto at 3 hours. So much for building better public transit. This is such a shame for Go transit as well as local governments for not funding better service providers.

No stars are in order for Aurora GO station. The GENIUS who is running the parking lot should go back to unemployment, I'd rather fund them there then have to deal with this station. As someone pointed out, you have to arrive before 7AM now closer to 630AM if you want parking. Thats because the GENIUS who is managing have 600 spots out of 700 reserved or designated as 'car pool'. The kicker is, those spots mostly stay empty - good planning. I don't understand how those people get jobs - get this, public transit is meant to encourage its use and get cars off the road. Aurora GO is encouraging the opposite.

I live in Aurora and have been taking GO transit for the past 6 years to get to school downtown. I am giving this review based on recent changes they have made that replaced weekend bus service with train service. That sounds great on paper, doesn't it? Connected city blah blah blah. What no one seems to realize is that for you to take the bus downtown on a Saturday or Sunday takes 35 minutes from Aurora. Taking the train takes 70 minutes. Furthermore, buses used to run every 30 minutes. Now trains run every 90 minutes.Coming back in the evenings on weekends is even better! There is train traffic" so your previously 35 minute commute becomes 2 hours! Yippe! Also

The Aurora Go Train is one of the old train stations in Ontario that is over 100 years old . This classical style wood built station is one of a few in southern Ontario . This was the first time I went inside the building. The old photos on the wall give you the history of the station . Passenger better check the train schedule on line before you go to the station . The box office only opens for a few hours , all selling tickets are by the machines. Before the pandemic, the parking lots were always full at around 8 am. Now, the situation should be better. The staff at the station is very helpful. A great experience in taking the Go train from Aurora to Union Station.
