I hired them to move contents of a one-bedroom apartment from Calgary, AB to Smithers, BC in February 2022 and was thoroughly pleased with the service I received. The customer support people were highly communicative, personable, and willing to answer all the questions I had as a first-time mover. The moving van arrived right on time and everything was professionally unloaded and brought up to the apartment. Nothing whatsoever was broken or damaged. Delivery staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. I had no complaints at all and would definitely recommend them in the future!

AVOID USING THIS COMPANY. I moved contents of a 1 bedroom apartment and 3 vintage motorcycles (early 1970's) from Vancouver, Canada to London, UK. They were collected 22 July 2022 - received in the UK on 4 November 2022. When David came to survey the contents, to provide a more accurate quote, I asked if they were able to provide a complete inventory of the contents (required by UK Customs to complete a Transfer of Residence application (TOR1)). He said his staff would do this, they did not. Leaving me to have to create the list from memory. When I questioned them about this, he said they had done many moves to the UK and that this was acceptable. (ie. Kitchenware, shoes, tools). Their handwriting was illegible on most of the boxes/inventory.The original quote Based on 425 cubic feet / 2975 lbs. net personal effects + 3 motorbikes (2 x BMW R75/5 + 1 x Honda ST90) via shared groupage container would cost CAD $ 11,840.00. Not the lowest quote I received. It ended up costing CAD $ 12,895 (including Marine insurance for CAD $1675 with a $1000 deductible). I was told the weight was only 2520 lbs. so the cost was reduced by CAD $620.I was told, by them, that my motorcycles would have custom crates build to protect them during transport. They did not. They build 3 palettes instead and strapped the motorcycles to them (nothing covering them). One of the motorcycles arrived with the handle bars twisted and bent on one side, a result of over tightening of the straps, which I believe has caused the handle bars to be bent or they dropped the bike.Many boxes were damaged/collapsing, a spare BMW motorcycle engine I was told would be crated with my Honda wasn't (had no protection). Panniers I put on one of the bikes to help protect it were removed and not included on the inventory, there were a few other items missing from the inventory as well.I contacted them about compensation and they said they had already reduced my fee by $620 and to claim the damage on insurance (my deductible is $1000 more than a new set of handle bars and completely avoidable).

We are relocating from Ontario to B.C. and are delighted with the service we’ve received from Tippet Richardson & Lewis Movers. From the first phone call with Lynn Flanagan we knew we were dealing with professionals. Every team member was courteous and capable, from the young men who helped pack up our fragile items the day before our move, to Chris and his team who loaded the moving van in the pouring rain. These folks took the stress out of moving day, loading up our house and then separately our storage locker. We look forward to the same professional experience in BC when our possessions are unloaded there. Highly recommended.

My husband and I hired this company to help move our household belongings from Vancouver to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The final destination: Turks and Caicos. Our contact is David Stewart.Our belongings sat in a Vancouver warehouse for one month before “the crating guy” could put it together. After a month in Vancouver, the crate arrived in Toronto only to be held up by a “trucker” who couldn’t cross the border with household goods.It is now 7 weeks after we left Vancouver and our crate is apparently crossing the border tonight. We would not know because we have been on the dark nearly every step of this painful process.We have frequently reached out for insight as to the whereabouts of our things and have been 100% ignored by David.It’s a life altering move from our home in Vancouver to a tiny island in the Caribbean. Not once have we been re assured or put at ease with the constant delays and excuses.I WOULD SERIOUSLY RECONSIDER MOVING COMPANIES; this one does not care about efficiency, customer care or professionalism.

After much deliberation and dialogue, I feel I must give the absolute worse rating for this company. I arranged to have a move between BC and Alberta. Price was competitive however, they sent the moving van 1/3 full to my house. Chairs were left behind, a lawn ornament was left behind, etc. due to the lack of space on the van. I attempted to get a discount to no avail. I estimate I am out about $500 from the move. I gave the company every opportunity to compensate me for my loss but to date I have had no response. Very unfortunate. If I felt differently, I would given a different rating.

Tippet-Richardson were fantastic receivers for our shipping container. Riana was very helpful with co-ordinating and guiding us and the team in the warehouse did a great job of checking our inventory in and loading up for us. Fully recommend.

We hired T-R this year to move our Hong Kong Chest" from Ottawa to Vancouver. This is a family heirloom and we chose Tippet over cheaper bids because we thought it would be safer with "Professionals". It wasn't! A leg was broken off and the finish on the front had a big rub mark down to the wood. This chest had been brought to Canada 70 yrs ago on my dad's ship and moved several times subsequently without harm.While the damage was clearly caused by Tippet

Excellent job by the team at TR for delivering and unpacking my furniture delivery in Vancouver. Anthony and Edward called 30 minutes before arrival per my request and arrived on time. They were cordial, efficient and all around good guys. They inquired about our unpacking preference, were careful to not damage the property and it was great chatting with them throughout.

I visited Tippet Richardson's location to view my recently deceased Fathers storage locker. On my arrival, I was asked to bring my Fathers account up to date in exchange for viewing the contents. I paid the outstanding fees in July 2021, however Tippet Richardson's Revenue Clerk" took it upon herself to continually charge my credit card for my deceased Fathers account and when challenged claimed the funds were part of a "disposal fee".At no time did I provide permission to charge my card for monthly fees
