Petland Windermere

We bought our beautiful hamster in this location. He is now a big part of our family. Making us laugh and brings us so much joy and lots of cuteness, smile and interaction. Staffs are very helpful and a great place to shop.

We had our first puppy last Thursday and petland was the first store that came to mind. We went in and asked for help and Hailey, who was very knowledgable about dogs, showed us what we needed and gave us valuable knowledge. Will definitely come back for supplies

I went into Petland Windermere looking for a specific food for my German Shepherd as he has developed severe allergies. The staff was very friendly and helpful and even had their manager Corey come and speak with me. Corey was extremely knowledgeable regarding the specific food I required. She took her time with me and we went thru all the foods that would work and we discussed my options. I ended up leaving their with a great product for my dog and feeling really good about other options I have. Thanks to Corey's patience with me and her caring about me getting the right product will definitely have me coming back to this store for all my pets needs. Knowing that the staff is so attentive really was a positive experience.

By far the worst service ever.My daughter got a hamster yesterday from the Windermere branch and kept it in the box that they gave us for literally less than half an hour, by the time she got home the hamster had escaped and now we can’t even find the poor thing.Never did they tell her that the hamster will chew it’s way out from the box that they gave us.Never did they tell her that she needs to go home within so many minutes.It’s my daughter’s first hamster so she is not aware of what it is capable of.Went with her back to the same branch today and talked to Jayden (he says he is a manager there but drastically lacking in any managerial or customer services skills) and he just left me while we were in the middle of the conversation saying that he will not take responsibility for (our) mistakes and went inside, a few minutes later another manager came and talked to us, she was much more polite than Jayden but again she did not accept responsibility despite her acknowledging that they did not inform us of any specific instructions regarding the transportation of the hamsterI will never recommend or go to this place again.

BEWARE OF THIS STORE!!! The “manager” cheyenne has zero customer service skills and was extremely rude to her staff. I purchased something a week ago that I didn’t need but lost the receipt. I was told I’m not able to do a refund or in store credit. I offered to show the transaction on my online banking but that did not suffice. Now I’m stuck with a $100 product I have no use for. I find there prices higher then other places but I like supporting Canadian owned businesses. After this encounter I will never step foot in this store again.

No sing saying no shirt no shoes no service upon entering I was told that for the safety of the animals I needed to have a shirt on. Just wondering what animal health concern this raises as I am was told it was due to hair. if it's no ok to be somewhere in these hot summer months without a shirt plz put a sing up an unwritten rule is not a rule.

This is a fantastic Petland, the staff here are amazing. Hayley, the pet expert was so kind and knowledgeable. It was such a wonderful experience. Thank you so much Hayley for being so nice to my daughter and answering all of her questions!!

average store, i usually come here to look at the cats and the birds. (it's our only local pet store) although the cats could use more space since cats love to roam around open spaces.i saw a cockatiel in a cage but i feel it's too small for it, same with some other birds i found. they were desperately trying to pry the lock open with their beaks and one of them didnt want to return inside their cage.

Great service when you can find people, but i understand they're busy with the animals. It's a little bit expensive, if you want to buy standard things then i recommend Walmart. They do have a lot of selection for a lot more animals than other pets, but if you are like me and like to dress up your dog, then theres limited selection for clothes. However, every time I walk in, I always spend twice as long than I should because of the pets they sell, and I usually spend time in the open play pens. So much fun!
