This is an A+ example of a small town diner. Food is great and service is phenomenal. Even when they're busy, the servers are kind and attentive. I particularly enjoyed the carrot cake cheesecake!

First time visiting restaurant instead of delivery. Customer service was awful sever was very patronizing. my drink was made wrong, just cranberry juice instead of vodka soda cran, when I asked if it was vodka soda cranberry a new server said there was just cranberry & vodka. As soon as she got back to the counter her and the other server just laughed (was sitting close to the bar) there was no vodka in the drink. It’s a shame, I’m new to town and have been ordering twice a week. I will never be ordering again. It’s a shame, treat out of towner’s better. Also ordered a poutine that was made with curds, any time I’ve ordered delivery it’s made with curds.

Was hoping to check out Chapleau Hub but they were closed. After driving around more, we found this place open for lunch. Had a beer and a gyro. Food was good and waitress was very nice. Nice inside too.

The waitresses were stretched thin, so service was a bit slow but that was fine as we enjoyed the local atmosphere and waited for our meal. Breakfast was excellent and we were so glad that we ate here. I loved the coffee.

Have been going to the Dominion Restaurant in Chapleau since I was a kid in the 1970’s when it was the Redwood. Whenever I return to town always make sure I have a few meals there as it’s good every time.

Amazing meal. Great service. We showed up not long before closing time due to the first restaurant we went too not having a cook and they were happy to serve us. Did not feel rushed. Will be back next time I'm in chapleai for sure!Edited to add: the vegetables were the most flavorful vegetables I've ever had in a restaurant!! I'm still talking about it days later.

Had the eggs Florentine. My hash browns were delicious and crispy. Hollandaise was good, spinach was fresh and eggs were poached perfectly. Staff was friendly and polite. Did not care for the flavor of the butter" that was spread on my English muffin

I’m originally from Chapleau and we stopped here for lunch and it was one of the worst lunches we’ve ever had. If you can’t get a turkey club sandwich and coleslaw right, you shouldn’t be in business. Do better and don’t use the fact you’re in a small town as an excuse to put out mediocre food.

During our motorcycle tour we had a one night stay in Chapleau. A local suggested Dominion Restaurant for dinner and they weren't wrong. We ordered the pizza which were fantastic as well as the service that was provided by Cris, the son of the owners. Kudos to this family for providing your community with wonderful food and great service.We did however return for breakfast the next morning before our departure to a not so friendly server, but who's really friendly at 8am on a Sunday morning. Lol if we are ever back in the area we will return.
