Very clean and well spaced sites. Great views of the seaway from the vast majority of sites with a good chance to see whales swimming by. I wish they had signs in English as well and if the bathroom lights were not so bright and harsh it would be great for watching stars as well.

Some say water is freezing, it's more than freezing. Ok. Well I went kayaking anyways, but good thing I was wearing my wetsuit. It was though the best experience ever. Hate camping near people, there are a little close, but that sacrificed made me see more whales than I've ever saw in my entire life. It's so far the best place I've been to.

we were in the area traveling from NY and decided to stay 2 nights here and I am so glad we did! They do not take reservations so we go up early and headed over. when we arrived there was already a long line we were number 18 in line at 830am . I did not think we had a chance of getting a site but we did and it was perfect! I could see the whales right from my van window. the sites with the best views are small but that didn't bother me a bit. we went kayaking the next day and we had 2 porpoise go so close to us i could have touched them. we had to leave at 330am to catch a ferry and noticed 2 cars already in line so get there early!

What a fantastic place for whale watching. Campsites are a bit close to each other, but all very nicely set up to view the River and the whales. From our kayaks, we saw several porpoises, a few belugas, seals, minke and finback whales and even a couple of humpbacks. Many folks come back here year after year.

Edit BELOW FOR OUR 2nd time here.Excellent campground. We stayed here for 3 nights with our motor home. One night we had hook ups and 2 nights we didn’t. Hoping to turn this into a yearly tradition. It was that good!** we returned in July 2022 with our children now ages 5 and 7. We had such a good experience last time so we booked 2 nights. This time, we are only staying 1 even though we paid for 2. I am not going to get into details but the lady made us feel very unwelcome with our children. We have traveled all of Canada with our children and have taken them paddle boarding in Newfoundland previous to this campground (glacier lakes in BC) and I understand her concerns but the weather was warm, the water was calm and we are experienced paddlers with our own equipment. We would come back but likely only when we are retired. We will find somewhere more family friendly until then. We did have a better experience last time we visited here with our children so it is still worth coming to view the whales from the rocks and give it a chance.

Been coming here for a few years now, and it's one of my favourite camping spots. Quiet environment makes for a peaceful stay, decent camping sites with views of the water, reasonably priced amenities. But the real draw is that you can literally see and hear the various whales from the shore as they surface and pass by. I dont think there's any place quite like it as far as the camping experience goes.

What a great camping; whales galore!Large site overlooking the Fleuve St-Laurent. You can literally whale watch from the comfort of your RV/Tent. We saw over a dozen Minke whales and belugas in a couple hours. (Bring binoculars)Staff and ground crew were friendly and welcoming. They have on-site wood delivery in the late PM; wood was bone dry and reasonably priced.Although the shared facilities we mostly closed, due to our being there later in the season, they appeared to be impeccably maintained.Highly recommend if you're in the area; the campsite and whale watching are simply amazing.

Pristine campground with well situated sites, including many near the water where you can hear whales spouting and see them swim by. Gorgeous spot for sunrises and star gazing. Friendly service with drive-by wood delivery, clean washrooms.

Although we do not speak fluent French, the gate staff were very friendly and tried their best to understand and communicate with us. We had a fantastic site, the facilities are very clean and well maintained. The views are spectacular. The other campers were courteous and respectful. Will be going back again

Camp sites and building are incredibly clean. Staff were very nice. Wood gets delivered to sites for a fee. Showers cost a dollar for 5 mins, but they are nice showers. Washers and dryers on site as well. The biggest bonus...the whales swim right by the campground. Can't wait to go back.
