Sunset Marina

Yesterday we were taking our boat out of the water and I lost my custom wedding ring (designed by a prominent First Nation artist) near the boat launch. Today Sunset Marina took initiative and lifted the dock with a forklift to try to find it. Unfortunately no ring but I had to highlight the amazing service and thought! Thanks Sue and the rest of your team.

I don't own a boat but this sure is a pretty marina!

Amazing hard working people

My partner and I drove into the parking lot of this business during opening hours, parked the car, walked to edge of water to take a couple of pictures of the sunset and then we were suddenly accosted by a staff member who falsely instructed us that we were trespassing on private property. The laws in BC are simple here. (1) If the establishment is a place of business and you're there during opening hours, then you can't be trespassing. (2) For a person to be trespassing, a 'no trespassing' sign must exist and be in a prominent place (there is no sign on this property). Accordingly, the staff member is patently incorrect.Let's say a sign did exist and this place is not actually a place of business or that it is a place of business but we went in through an open gate by mistake, not realizing the place was closed. His manner would still be beyond reproach. Beyond rude.While no racist language was used, the encounter was so weird, uncalled for, and unsavoury that it's hard to think what may have motivated it but racism. One of us is not white -- and boy oh boy is this guy white. He was wearing all white too: from socks to ball cap. My mum used to say don't trust a man who wears all blue. She may have gotten this one wrong.

Bestl place to launch even on low tide condition.Sue is always on top of everything and makes everything in order despite the place being swamped most summer.Our favorite place to launch!

the lady managing the maria seems to get a bit stressed out. but the facilities are quite reasonable. rates are reasonable. I would recommend this for people looking for a place to put trailer for a few days while sailign the area.

If I could give this place no stars, that's what I would give for their service and attitude. We (my father, two brothers and myself) launched and parked with a second vehicle in the middle of the week during the middle of the day. Total cost was $50. $32 to launch and park and $18 to park a second car. We were directed by an unfriendly staffer who told us not to come the following week because she wont have any room. I thought it was odd because I had never mentioned coming back to her.Have you ever gotten a negative vibe from someone for no apparent reason when you just set foot in their establishment? So she told us to park at the very back of the lot because she didn't want our vehicles to impede the view of a photo shoot. I saw there were vehicles with trailers randomly parked everywhere on the lot.On our way out, my father was yelled at by a foul mouthed employee on a golf cart because he parked too close to a gate. He wasn't blocking anyone at the time. That really isn't any way of treating anyone let alone a paying customer.I didn't really think much of it at the time, but after reading a reviewer who experienced racism at this establishment, I would have to agree with him. Our family immigrated to Canada from Asia over 40 years ago. It's just unfortunate that people choose to treat others this way.We won't ever be coming back to this marina again.

By far one of the nicest and most peaceful views in the lower mainland

First time launching the boat at Sunset Marina, definitely not the last. The ramp is smooth and wide enough for multiple trailers. The launch usually isn’t tide dependent as we launched at low tide without any problems. There’s a dock right beside so you can tie up and park your car, and there’s also a hose station so you can spray off your boat and flush the engine after a day out on the water.
