My wife and I are up in Blue Mountain and wanted to kick off our mini vacation with a day at the Spa. We found Strands Salon and Spa online, read the reviews and booked our treatments. Linda was very polite and helpful. Arrived for my wife's appointment and was greeted like we were family. I perused the lovely town of Collingwood and headed back to wait for her to be done. I was greeted right away offered a coffee and sat on the window box looking out on the lovely garden landscape and chatted with the friendly staff. The staff go out if their way to make you feel at home and comfortable. They even made suggestions on great lunch spots in town that we could get a bite before my appointment. The staff is very caring and professional. If you want a great spa experience where you are treated like a celebrity for an awesome price and in the Collingwood area, make an appointment with Strands and enjoy your experience!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I got the best cut and highlights I’ve had in many many years. I have never been made to feel so welcome and comfortable for my first time being there. Donna, your salon is gorgeous! It’s a beautiful atmosphere, just gorgeous and cozy. Laura- your energy, your positivity, your compassion, your infectious sense of humour and personality are 10 out of 5 stars. You are a star in my eyes. You have got a new lifetime client. Erica is amazing! She's super professional and she goes way above and beyond to make sure the job she's doing is done to the highest level. I went in with a bit of disaster hair color, and she was able to fix it with really no problems. She really knows what she's doing and I can't thank her enough! Highly recommend her.

Lovely salon, very friendly. I was really looking forward to getting my hair trimmed had seen excellent reviews for this salon. I must say I was a new client and have very fine hair. I was assigned Erica who I have to say is a very personable stylist. I agreed I needed a little lift at the crown, what I got were short layers. Very disappointed, especially since I know have to begin growing my hair again and look for another salon.Also a little pricey for just a haircut.

Very polite and welcoming! Since I am not from the area I didn't know who I was in que with. Nicole did a fabulous cut on my hair! Next day she cut my husband's as well. Definitely recommend!!!

New to the area and decided to try this salon based on a recommendation. Aside from the quality and excellent customer service, the value is incredible!! Pricing is as described on the website - no sliding scale - which is amazing and pretty much unheard of for a professional salon, in my experience.

I called for an appointment. Right away, the answer was that she doesn't have any available, without even asking when I wanted to go. Then, she said that she doesn't take new customers. It really sounded very discriminatory. There is no room for such attitude is a modern society.

Expert stylist/Owner Donna Major is 2nd to none! Donna discusses, advises and executes a fantastic hair cut for me on each visit. She has transformed me from long to bob, and back and forth gracefully. I have been a client for 20 years and look forward to every visit!Esthetician Jolanta is extremely talented, warm and comes with years of experience. It is evident she loves what she does, as she takes the time and has patience to get everything just right.
