Bulk Barn

With grocery store prices increasing I thought that I would give bulk barn a try, they have to be less expensive since you're packaging your own food right? I bought some mixed nuts, making sure I was getting the same variety of nuts that I buy in my store bought containers. When I took them home and emptied them into the empty container, it only filled about half of the jar. I was shocked, I'd paid $18.99 for the container full of mixed nuts, and the bulk variety that was about half the amount was just over $19. So essentially I paid twice the price for the bulk store nuts. So, not only would it have cost me $38 if I'd bought the same amount, there were a lot less of the more expensive nuts like pecans, walnuts and brazil nuts, mostly almonds they were STALE and just looked beat up compared to the prepackaged option. So much for trying to economize! I knew that bulk food wasn't as fresh, but I seriously never thought I'd pay more.I also think this store is doing some kind of tax evasion too, they use one check out for cash and another for card payments. Needless to say I won't be shopping here again.

Lovely young man at the checkout today helped me get my baby car seat unstuck from the cart - definitely above and beyond! Plus a very clean and well-stocked location, we'll be back again!

I had a good shopping experience. Clean store. Following protocols. Very few customers everyone wearing mask and social distancing. Not much sale products at least what I went to buy but overall I always find they're a bit pricey. Products are fresh and buying nuts and seeds in bulk is always great

I have been going yo this location for 15 years but after the last 6 months of shortage of stock, mistakes on my online orders and most recently charging me 15.00 more by punching in wrong code, I have had it. Yes I am frustrated. The employee suggested I go to Ravenscroft store which is a lot further away but I will go there. This location needs to get their stuff together.

The cashiers here are very helpful and polite. We went to get a few items expecting to pay more, but not at all. Reasonable price and great variety!

This place is really really nice

It's nice small not too busy place. However recently seem to be heading downpath. Having 1 pen for entire store in the store where you asking people to put item code ? You have rows with only ties and have to go search for labels and pens and despite super friendly the only answer was ' yes . We know.. we ordered them'? Really?Dollar store is on the other corner.. .if you care about your castomer you can find a ways. And at least make labels to be available on each station not in far corner... Unfortunately this left a feel that store is neglected. Store manager.. please take this feedback as an opportunity.

I’ve had good experiences at this location. The store and the parking lot are usually pretty clean. Unfortunately I’ve recently noticed some flies in the store which really turned me off from buying food items here. As it gets closer to Christmas I’ve also found that they are frequently sold out of ingredients I need. Call the store before you go so that you won’t be disappointed.

Went to get Cherries and the tray was empty. Ask the employee if they have anymore and he said they do have but he can't go to the back right now... Like seriously??? That's just lazy! Won't be going back to this location!!!
