This place and the people that attend are what makes it special. The lessons I've learned from there for almost 10 years I trained there are priceless. As a woman, man and child I think these lessons are vital. I just wish I could have brought the whole club with the instructor back west when I moved here. Miss it very much!!

After 6 months, the teacher gave up on my child because he is too “silly” (his word) and not focused enough. This came about because I came to talk to him after my child started crying after the class, saying the teacher called him stupid. While the teacher didn’t call him stupid, he did call him “silly” and admitted to such. While talking to the teacher, he blamed my child and essentially said my child needed to face the truth and that it was good for him. And then proceeded to list my child’s behavioural issues. A second teacher then blamed me for how he behaves in class. Of course, not once did they reach out to us about his behaviour so we could work on it from our end. I was blindsided by the fact he was having issues not focusing. In short, because my child has difficulty focusing, they told us they won’t teach him anymore. For all that talk of discipline, I’m very disappointed in the lack thereof - whether in method, curriculum or communication.

The best teacher I have come across so far, the wisest and most human. As people said, not just a martial-arts club but a complete system to bring you to wholeness through breathing, movement, visualization... Thank you for everything

Emmanuel is a phenomenal teacher. He is the owner and operator of Fight Club and runs both youth and adult Systema training programs. My family and I have been students for many years.My kids have learned and grown so much through the youth program and they love it. It teaches young students to be accountable and responsible for themselves and their training partners in a conscientious and safe way. Students are challenged but treated with respect, care, and compassion. Manny's thoughtful classes create opportunities for them to face and deal with fear, anxiety, and stress in positive ways through breathing, relaxation, and movement. These skills help students face their challenges in school in positive and effective ways. Systema is much more than just 'self-defense'. The results of these lessons show them where absolute honesty lies and how they can continue to grow.Not unlike the youth program, the adult program brings out the best version of you. I have learned so much on so many different levels. The lessons are practical, functional, and continually evolving and I apply them to all aspects of my daily life. Partners are friendly and helpful, and the camaraderie is precisely what you want after a long day. I always feel rejuvenated and content after each class. Manny has fostered an environment where everyone is a student and a teacher. The skills can be challenging to learn, but they are multi-faceted and honest. No pads or gear. Amazing gym and space of growth! Manny is the best! One of the highest level teachers you will ever find. He gives such an honest, well-rounded perspective to martial arts, systema and life. I have learned so many amazing lessons at his classes, and can say that he helped me so much understand systema and how to train properly. I always leave his classes feeling amazing! Highly recommend!

The discovery of Systema for me has been absolutely amazing and life changing in ways I can not compare to anything else. It has opened my eyes to new ways of thinking, feeling, moving, breathing, exercise and effective methods of self-defense that are truly incredible, and applicable in just about everything I do. Every part of my life improved greatly since I began practicing this martial art. One of the most amazing things is that anyone can do this! I highly recommend training archery with Emmanuel. He is an incredible teacher, full of technical knowledge and has a keen eye to help students strive to be better archers. With his years of experience and expertise in communication, I would not recommend anyone else but him! The archery range is located in the lower level of the martial arts studio. It is a safe and private range where you can rest assured your equipment is secure. There are both adult classes and childrens classes too. Overall, I had a wonderful experience when taking the adult classes there! My only wish is that I lived closer and did not work so much!
