my experience falls squarely into 3.5 stars. Sashimi isn't the best quality but generally better than your run-of-the-mill AYCE places. No fault, but not spectacular.

I always wanted to try the food here because of the good reviews. Finally last Sunday I was able to order and picked it up. Lots of Japanese restaurants near my place but I went extra mile to try the food here. My daughter loves the shrimp tempura. Wasn’t able to take a photo of it. It was gone in an instant. It must be really good to finish the two orders. Going to the sushi, I was not impress due to the rice, it was kinda dry and hard already. It’s been like a rice just taken out from the fridge.

It was a good experience. They had a good kick to their spicy salmon roll. I felt like it was more spicy than what I get from other places. Service was good they had a waitress on stand-by, and she'd always ask us if we needed anything. The atmosphere the restaurant just seems like it needs a make-over. Everything just looks old. Overall I'd say it's a great place.

The food was overall pretty good! It was interesting how the place was a fusion of Japanese and Korean food, and I was quite full afterwards! All the items were hot and fresh, and the atmosphere was nice. The only thing we encountered was that our server came to our table every 40 minutes or so. Perhaps it’s because we were seated away from the main area, so it felt like she forgot about us a couple of times. There was also kind of a long wait for the food but we didn’t mind too much because we weren’t in a rush. The white dragon roll didn’t seem to special to us, but it tasted okay! The bento boxes and bibimbap were very filling!

It was packed when we came but didnt wait long. This place has a lot of options for the bentos. It is served with green salad, miso soup and some kind of porridge. The salmon was good, i wish it could be hotter. The Bbq eel was okay, the flavour just wasnt there for me. The bulgogi was warm and tasty. All bentos were filling with very good portions. Ive only tried their maki sushi, it was good quality raw salmon/fish with fresh ingredients. Fast service, we got our food within 5 mins after ordering. My tea and water was filled everytime without even asking. Overall customer service is great. Will come back to try more

Hands down the best sushi place in my life. I can't order from anywhere else. I've ordered take out, delivery and dined in here for years. Service is always great - everyone is very polite. I took a friend here recently who was in awe of their food presentation. Felt special to share this gem with a friend. Whether you're from Scarborough or not, definitely THE sushi spot to check out.

My favourite spot for a-la-cart sushi in Scarborough! Long time customer of Ni Ji and the sushi is always high quality. Prices are still reasonable especially their lunch menu options. Definitely would recommend as a sushi option if you're in Scarborough!

Good sushi place in Scarborough, always full even on a Monday night . Couples should try the love boat ! The sashimi is very good here . Staff are friendly , and helpful . 10 percent discount if you pay cash . They are very quick if you are ordering take out or picking up. The scallop roll is quite nice .

Ni Ji Sushi Japanese Restaurant
This was our first visit to this restaurant although my cousin and family had been here a few times. The service was excellent and would give 4.8 stars for service. The Sashimi was quite fresh and most of the food was good, the beef bulgogi was a little too well done so it was hard to chew. For food, I would give 4.2 stars. The price was as expected and the ambience was nice. The parking lot is a little small.
