I have never been to the store itself, but this is a fantastic company. The staff are really nice and helpful and the selection is superb. I have had 4 orders through Abra's website and each time the package has arrived quickly and well packed. I would recommend to anyone to support them and will definitely buy my electronics from them in the future.

I love this store. What I cannot find at other stores in Montreal, they can usually provide, and it saves me the hassle of ordering online. Customer service is excellent. Location is decent, but a little hard to access. My only complaint, and the reason that I didn't give 5 stars, is because of the opening hours. Please, ABRA, if you cannot be open one day of the weekend (which would be ideal), please have extended opening hours for one evening of the week. Otherwise, I can only visit when I take time off work, as I am a Monday to Friday, 9 to 5'er. Many thanks.

I'm literally appalled to find such an electronics store where one can see & touch all the items and freely walk between the isles without being stressed. The selection is very very large. The prices are mostly reasonable. It's simply unfair to expect the same price level with online sellers in China, they have to pay customs and taxes. Also the sales team is very helpful and kind. I'll certainly keep shopping here. PS: There's a parking lot for clients outside.

The store has a lot of components but the staff doesn't seem interested in helping you make decisions on what to get if you're inexperienced. I was basically told by 2 different staff that I should go figure out online what I need to get started on a basic anemometer protect (even though I already vaguely know I want to hook up a hall effect sensor to a ESP32-type board).Once I figure out exactly what I want/need I will absolutely just order the parts online. What's the point of a physical store if l don't get any extra service than just ordering online? The location is a 40 min drive from home and the hours are not convenient.tl;dr: don't come here if you're new and hoping for recommendations. Place is probably great if you know what you're doing and can't wait for online delivery.

Hands down the best place to shop if you’re looking for a huge variety of electronic components. They are well located, the parking is easy to get and the staff is friendly. Although, they’re not all quality to help you for a project. Make sure who you should ask. I used to go at their competitors, but they are a steep ahead!

Many years ago, a younger me walked for almost an hour to get to this shop. I needed a soldering iron and a multimeter and was only able to find this shop online. Once I got there, what I saw made me feel like a kid in a toy store. So many kits, tools, components, books, and things to spend a whole day looking at them. I asked the guy behind the counter about a the soldering iron I needed and he advised me on the right model for what I needed. At some point, I saw they had a book about Arduino,and lots of boards. I mentioned it to the guy at the shop and he told me that the book was really good for learning how to code using the Arduino IDE. I believed him, and following his advice I also purchased the book, and some arduino boards and components. He was so nice that he even gave me a mug that I still use to this day.Well, it turned out that this book taught me a ton of valuable things that would later change my life for the better, and help me discover a whole new universe of awesome things that I could create by continuing that learning process that the book and kits they advised me to get started.So for me, five stars to this magic place and the great people that work there.

While they have a good selection of products, this store has a few major issues that ruin their customer service:1) most of their products seem to be ordered directly from Asia, and are cheap and low quality items you can get in bulk online that they've marked the price up on significantly.2) the owner is always unpleasant and unwilling to show you where items are, leaving you to search for them by yourself. He is always dismissive and gruff.3) they do not stand by their products - they have a 3 week refund policy, after which you are completely on your own, even if the product they've recommended and sold to you is completely defective, even if the item only cost them a few dollars to buy, even if you have the receipt, even if the item was clearly barely used. How many defective items have you bought that had issues before 3 weeks? This simply is not reasonable.

They have a lot of options for good prices (I did find a dpdt switch that could've cost me triple the price elsewhere).Along with my order I also god a Nokia 5110 LCD screen. I didn't have high expectations or needs (didn't meed full colour) but I took the best price/size and took it home.Unfortunately, I only got to this part of my project about a month later, no receipts (no clue if they do returns) only to find the screen was scratched. It was covered in foam in the bag so I didn't expect anything to have happened to it, and when I opened it and saw the scratch I thought it was the protective cover, but no, the scratch is premanently on the screen. (also notoce the two bumps on the screen as seen in the picture.I still gave a 4 star review because it's a great place to get pieces for a project. They have variety and fair prices. I am truly disappointed about the screen though, so I hope you can learn something from my experience and either open the bag at the place or keep your receipt.
