Parking tickets for mostly empty lots on the weekend.

My key was broken inside the lock. They came over and opened it for me

I paid for my parking spot, was not in reserved parking and still got a ticket during my allotted paid time.

I left my key in the office and it took for them more than 50 min to show up. Couldn't be even slower I think

I went in due to a misunderstanding regarding a parking ticket in what was never clearly displayed as a restricted short term area of the parking lot, and was treated terribly. One of the ladies at the front immediately turned hostile and acted as if I had now become the single greatest inconvenience in her life, huffing and saying “I can’t do this right now I need a moment” to her coworker when I was not even addressing her. She was then told to take her break, and only then was the short term parking explained to me. This is my second year purchasing parking passes and I have never accidentally parked in a short term area (which are VERY poorly labeled and I have never been told about until today). If this had been a reoccurring issue for me I would understand the attitude I received, or even if I had started off the conversation in an aggressive manner. If this is an issue they are dealing with constantly and that is the cause behind the response I received, that is a UVIC parking issue not something that should be taken out on a student. The beginning of the semester has been very stressful for everyone and this interaction has turned my day from bad to worse. The lady who then explained the situation to me and helped me out was relatively friendly, but I was so thrown off by this that I had to leave and will be returning another day to be paying the ticket, and I am not looking forward to ever entering the campus security building again. Parking on this campus is already expensive and extremely inconvenient as it often feels like there were too many passes sold for the capacity of the lots, and the terrible service and aggressive ticketing has inspired me to write my first ever google review.

The university should probably offer training on number recognition for security because some of these guys obviously don't know how to read a parking meter.

Very helpful team, I didn't get the girl's name but she helped me locate my girlfriend after she was injured in a small lab explosion. Glad they were there especially since all the doors are now locked because of Corona.
