Great way to experience an old-style cinema. Specialises in French films and is a very charming spot.

I like this cinema. Feels small and comfy. French movies and arty mainly.

Most of the movies they offer are local movies, in Quebec French, produced for a local audience, with local actors, local themes, and quite frankly boring like most of Quebec productions. The distribution of the seats is rather awkward, they are placed on a semi-circle rather than completely frontal to the screen, in a straight line, like in most of movie theatres. They could have been a bit smarter and leave some space for people to circulate, particularly those who will be sitting at the end of the rows towards the sides, who by the way, will be watching the movie from a lateral angle. If you are sitting where I was you cannot leave your row without bothering those sitting at the center since there is no way to et up and walk by the wall. The seats are not precisely comfortable, the arm rests are made of plastic so after a while my arms were numb. If you want a wider variety of independent films from around the world try Cinema Du Parc, owned by the same company.

Great place to catch a watching of an independant or francophone film you're unlikely to come across elsewhere. Seating is rather limited, which makes it feel more intimate, but you're better off getting there early to secure your ticket. Sound wasn't overly loud, but was quite clear as I recall.Snacks are an absolute rip-off.

A cinéma where buying tickets feels like an act of resistance against mainstream cookie cutter cinema.
